We were only in New York for 36 hours, so we just wanted something affordable and easy to get to. Seton Hotel has a great location just a couple of blocks from Grand Central and the Chrysler Building. We actually made the walk from Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza too. The rooms were cozy and we had one with a...

Super friendly front desk staff, chic lounge, and comfortable bed. You won't have a room fridge or room service, but in NYC, who cares? Location was central - walk to Central Park (long walk, but doable), around the corner from Grand Central Station, and walk to MoMA.

The Seton Hotel is well placed for your stay in New York City in midtown Manhattan. Only slight niggle is that there are no tea making facilities in your room - a coffee machine off the lobby is only available between 6 and 11 am - after a busy day sightseeing all you want is a nice cup of tea....

Stayed 3 nights at the Seton as it was recommended by our cruise agent and we were not disappointed. The location was perfect for sightseeing, choice of restaurants and transportation. The staff were excellent - very helpful with directions and dining recommendations, the best of which was Maison Kayser near Bryant Park - best French toast ever!! Thank you Seton...

This hotel is perfectly located, close to Grand Central and Subways. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel is just lovely the room was perfect for our stay and it was kept very clean. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The free coffee in the morning was an added bonus. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, love the "no frills" together with no hardships. Everything was good quality and well maintained. We loved the nearby "Everyday Gourmet Deli" which had all the food we wanted, cheap and quick!

We were in town for a travel conference and stayed at the Seton. It was comfortable enough although the rooms are very compact. The walls are pretty thin so I was glad the UN general assembly was over the day we arrived. The staff was very accommodating

Read the fine print, this dingy dark place in midtown offers one bathroom (bathtub + toilet) per floor. Horrid nightmare! Ended up leaving after my first night's stay. It is a little more than a hostel, with dark dingy rooms.

I apologize that the Seton Hotel did not meet your expectations. The vast majority of our rooms have private en suite bathrooms. When you book a room with a shared bathroom the ratio of rooms that share a bathroom on a particular floor are 2-4 rooms sharing 1-2 bathrooms.

Small hotel in a very nice and convenient location. It is clean and "cute". The rooms are very small and it is a struggle to move if more than one person in the room. Staff is ok, there are is no minibar, no safe and no room service. Would try sometimg else the next time.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
