First of all, we arrived early and weren't allowed to check in but they kept our bags for us. The staff could be a little more friendly, they are in customer service and should be able to at least act like they're happy to see customers. The room was a good size with a cool New York view and a... More

If you're looking for small and cheap with no amenities in a good location, this might work. Rooms don't have bathrooms, so you need to share the one bathroom on each floor. There is a sink in each room and there is a kitchen on each floor as well. The rooms are very small, but kept clean. Access from the... More

Pros: Awesome location and friendly/great staff, always helping when you need them, were able to resolve a situation for us and received some mail packages. They also had very clean aisles, daily cleaning at rooms and clean shared bathrooms. The prices are very competitive and are worth it for all that is close to it. Cons: Some noise of the... More

At the time I booked it, there was a special, but I wouldn't pay regular price to stay there. Its like a motel / hostel. You have your own small room and sink, but you share the bathroom with other people on the floor. Each floor has a kitchen as well, with a hot plate, sink and microwave. I hope... More

The hotel has a great location since it is easy to find. It has shared bathrooms (they are out side the rooms), but all wireless providers have bad coverage in rooms and the hotels wifi is too expensive + no AC since it was cold out side you can just open the window but decent enough for a shot 1-2... Best thing about this hotel has to be the location! Walking distance to Times Square, Empire State, Herald Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal and so many other places worth visiting. Second best thing is probably the price - given the great location Shared bathrooms really not a problem as they were kept clean and are plenty on a floor... More

Pros: Close to Times Square (east of Avenue of the Americas on 38th), reasonably clean, secure entry. Cons: Outside sounds are audible, very small rooms, shared bathroom. However, the cons are still outweighed by the price for a hotel room in central Manhattan - so close to Times Square, MSG, and Chelsea. Even though the outside noise wasn't quieted by... More

The shared bathrooms were not maintained well, having an odor and no soap. The community kitchen contained little food and was not kept clean either. The rooms were very small and it was very noisy making it hard to sleep. Also, the beds were poorly kept up with. Having an odor and crumbs of foods we did not eat. My... More

As others have stated, this hotel is more like an uprated hostel but it's perfectly good for what you need as when in NYC you are out and about and the hotel is just somewhere to shower and stick your head at night. Fantastic location, so close to everything, easy to find. The rooms are small and basic but were... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
