This was my first visit to NYC so I really wanted to explore the city. I didn't intend to spend much time inside the hotel, so Marrakech was good for returning at night to a comfy bed and a good bathroom. The staff was excellent, super nice and attentive, asking after your day and recommending things to do. The room...

So we arrived at this hotel after a long delayed flight and ages sat in a taxi to get to it, we walked up the stairs (which are steep so not OK for some but fine for us), carpets were all ripped and mucky but we thought oh well its only the stairs......or so we hoped haha! Reception seemed busy...

As per all the previous reviews, don't believe anything written on the Hotel Website or the Photos, the place should be re-branded as a Hostel not a Hotel, the moment you see the Marrekech from outside sandwiched between 2 shops you know this is going to be awful, the carpet leading up the 30+ steps to get to reception which...

Two things first: 1. I am not a picky traveler and do not expect champagne on a beer budget. 2. There is NO WAY the "stock" photos of this hotel were taken at this hotel. It looks NOTHING like the pictures. That being said, our stay at the Marrackech was just "acceptable". Pros: The 1 train subway station was literally...

Having had a previous reservation cancelled we booked the Marakech Hotel at short notice largely due to cost constraints. The staff at the hotel were great but the decor is pretty aged and the photos on the website weren't reflected in what we saw. Given we were out all day we only really needed a bed and so, while this...

Mine and a friends 1st time in New York, instantly a very friendly welcome, lovely staff, our room was upgraded to a bigger room with no extra cost, very clean, daily clean beds and towels. Fab shower, very comfortable beds. Good location for subway and restaurants. Overall we loved it!!

I'm not really sure where to begin in all honesty. Parts of this trip were okay, other parts were terrible. The Marrakech on arrival was one of the terrible parts. I'm not sure if it is because of how tired I was when we arrived or not. The website said 'no elevators', but it did not say 'deep staircase just...

People do not venture within a mile of this establishment. After a long flight and awful shuttle from JFK you open the door to this hotel and I use the term lightly and are greeted by a long flight of deep steps which you are expected to navigate unassisted with your heavy luggage. You reach reception where a scruffy individual...

Upon entering the hotel I noticed the lobby with the air stinking of stale cigarettes, the tattered and dirt rug did not look like the lobby picture on line. But since there are no refunds I hoped the room would be as pictured and since I was only staying for one night so I proceeded. I observed that no one...

I am writing this review over a year after the visit but I have just reconnected to TripAdvisor. I have a black book of all the places I visited with reviews so I am transferring them to here! I loved this hotel. We booked it because we visited New York on a budget and it was very reasonable. We arrived...
