One of my very favorite hotels in the world. Very kind stuff, fashionable guests, stylish interior, very safe and good location. You will love this hotel more when you stay longer and more times. Hardware is great. But my favorite part of this hotel is people. People working there and the guests. Definitely, people at the Mercer made this hotel... More

Always feels like home to come back to this discreet hotel in downtown NYC. Bigger room this time which was gorgeous, flowers, wine etc. But more importantly the feeling of welcome, whoever you are, comfort and style.

I have stayed in the Mercer countless times over the last 15 years. It never disappoints and the I love the high level of service, great location and how quiet the hotel is. Room service is also delicious.

Service, cleanliness, atmosphere, location, style The Mercer has it. We would come here again when we need a SOHO injection. It's best for a relaxed short stay with focus on shopping, dining, bars. If you still want to hit the other areas and even Central Park there are many subway entrances all around you and next to hotel.

My husband and I visited New York for ten days at the end of February and stayed at the Mercer after my sister recommended it to us. We are glad she did so! The hotel is situated in an ideal location and this for us was the strongest point. The neighborhood of Soho is so convenient. Also, the food is... More

If you are looking for run of the mill corporate accommodation inNew York then the Mercer is not the place for you. Little things make this hotel very special, for me it is the fact that I always seem to get the same room, or at least that was the case until my last visit, when I was upgraded. All... More

Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is located right between SoHo and Greenwich and you can pretty much walk anywhere from it. The staff were always very helpful and friendly and the rooms nicely done up.

We were a large party: 6 people ranging in age from 90 to 6 years old. The Mercer did a wonderful job of accommodating all of our different needs. As other visitors have noted, this is a small, cozy and, above all, comfortable hotel with a great location and a fine eye for details. The décor is stylish; the amenities... More

Fabulous New York experience. Beautiful large room with a tremendous bath tub large enough for laps. Service was fantastic and the bar/restaurant is excellent. Look forward to returning and to exploring Soho lots more.

I've tried everything in NYC! The Mercer is always on top. I like to have a room with a view on Prince street and Mercer right at the corner! Most of my business meeting in NY happen there in the lobby! A must! The kitchen is great as well. I know there are a lot of other new places and... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
