I stayed at The Mark for five nights last week. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the rooms comfortable, the bathroom stunning and the staff pleasant and helpful. Although the location was further uptown than I have always stayed, taxis were quite easy to hail and the walks to surrounding landmarks and shopping enjoyable. The only disappointing experience was on Saturday evening when I...

Thank you for your recent stay at The Mark. I am delighted to read your positive feedback regarding the comfort and style of our guest rooms, as well as the personal level of service from our staff. I am pleased that you were able to enjoy a pleasant walk around our neighborhood and local boutiques. I am however disappointed that...

I cannot give this hotel five stars due to the small size of the room. The bathroom was very large; however, the actual room was much too small for a five star hotel room. There was also a hair in the tub. Other than those two flaws, the hotel staff and the other aspects of the accomodations were fine. The...

Probably the best hotel in nyc. Great service and lovely place. Top bar too with excellent cocktails if that's what you fancy Located upper east side which is ideal and near park. Superbly attentive staff and well presented rooms make it such a great place.

The Mark Hotel, on the Upper East Side of NYC, is our family's "home away from home!" While traveling with two young children is not easy, the Mark makes it a very pleasant and memorable experience for all. My husband and I began staying at the Mark initially for our business travel, and enjoyed the hotel for its sophisticated decor...

I personally did not like the interior and found it a bit .. Confused. Which isn't a huge part of a hotel experience (albeit still a part) but it was the service which is ridiculous. We waited more than an hour just for our luggages to be brought up to our room. Our rooms btw were also nothing special and...

It is unfortunate to learn that you did not have a seamless experience while staying with us, and I apologize for the delay in your luggage being delivered to your room. It is rare that we hear anything but positive comments regarding our hotel’s interior design elements, but I do understand that the avant-garde style of our lobby is not...

I've stayed at them all, Four Seasons, St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental, The Carlyle and hands down The Mark wins for always getting it right. They give you fantastic personal service and take care of all your needs. The rooms are modern and functional with tons of closet space and nice amenities. I just know when I go to these other...

Large, comfortable rooms in Art Deco style, like the rest of the hotel. Wonderful technology, and lots of fun gadgets in the rooms. Very good food, both in the restaurant and from room-service. Great service, plenty of little pampering touches( eg: macaroons on the pillow with turndown service). Perfect location in the best part of Madison Avenue for restaurants, cafes,...

Thank you for the impressive review and recommendation! I am so pleased to read that you had such a remarkable stay with us, and that you were able to enjoy so many of our neighborhood highlights. This is by far the best hotel of my life, with the best hotel restaurant of my life; and I have stayed in many hotels throughout the world over many years. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
