Can you blame me? They are a terrific staff. The rooms are lovely. The bed was delicious. The view was sweet. I just love this hotel and while it's conservative next to a few places in NY, I loved every tasteful, pampered, appreciated minute.

My husband and I stayed at The Mark Hotel in NYC in September 2016, which was the weekend that we were getting married in Central Park. I cannot say enough great things about our experience there. The team brought fresh roses to our suite, chocolate covered strawberries, and even a bottle of lovely red wine just to congratulate us before...

My husband and I spent four nights at The Mark in September. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and attentive from the moment of "check in" to the moment we departed. Our suite was spacious and very nice; the bed was quite comfortable, the bathroom large with a big soaking tub, large shower, double vanity. Our view however was non-existent;...

Wow, from the time you enter the lobby you feel like "you just made an entrance"! It is spectacular and the service matches the quality of decor! Loved loved loved the junior suite we had since we were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. The sitting area had this unique cool wallpaper of books. The bathroom was huge and had the...

Congratulations again from all of us here at The Mark – it was my pleasure having you and your husband as our guests for your anniversary. I’m so glad that our Seventy-Seven Junior Suite was to your liking and that you had a chance to experience our custom bikes and Jean-Georges hot dog stand. Hope to see you again next...

This fine hotel with a friendly and excellent staff is a comfortable haven in the upper Eastside. The rooms a bit tiny, but it is NYC! The restaurant is superb, of course, but loud and usually quiet. We usually sit at bar in the back. The bar upfont is always too crowded.

My family and I stayed at the Mark at one of their busiest time I think. The hotel was full of celebrities and famous business men but we were still treated as A'listers :) Outstanding, friendly service, gorgeous and most comfortable rooms everything justified the rather high price we paid. Definitely the place to go.

I just stayed at The Mark during fashion week, as I am a fashion blogger. The scene in the lobby, bar and restaurant was electric. The staff was friendly and professional, yet unpretentious. The doormen were great, as were the concierge with their recommendations. I really loved the Mark bicycles and pedicabs out front. It gave a fun, yet cool...

The Mark is the true definition of excellence and superb service. I usually stay at another hotel in the city, only because I had not discovered this gem. The service from the second you walk in to the moment you leave are simply perfect. I know a lot of upscale hotels thrive for perfection. The Mark has reached and surpassed...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
