I went in march to New York with my girl friend and we stay at Carlton Arms hotel. For visiting NY, the location its perfect. Nearby all the atractions. Our experience was very good. The hotel has all you need: good bethrooms, good and clean service and especially very nice people. Not only the staff, the atmosphere that lives with...

Fun place to stay, definitely a place you won't soon forget. Service was good, coffee in the morning was excellent. Shared bathrooms no problem, if the one on our floor was in use you just go up or down one floor. Let the water run for a few minutes if you want a hot shower. Like a typical old building,...

I Loved the Hotel. Every wall, door, and ceiling were painted with original art. The Beds and pillows were Tempurpedic and comfy. The staff was all friendly and generous. Warning it is a walkup...I did not mind, it's NYC and to be expected. :) The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the other guests slamming...

Not real happy with having chosen this place. It's just a step above a YMCA. Biggest problem was the inability to control the temperature in my very hot room (no a/c,, and a pipe going up to the next floor that was emanating massive amounts of heat into my room. I had to open the window wide, which had no...

Stayed here with my 10 year old son and my mother for 10 nights. Staff are so friendly, place is really quirky😄 excellent coffee in the mornings and location unreal, very reasonable also. Really enjoyed our stay here, will definitely be staying again!

I have stayed at the Carlton Arms on two separate occacions - with a few years inbetween. This certainly is a special place, and as everyone says; not what some are looking for. I have stayed here with my sister in room 10C, and two friends in room 3C. Both times all of us had huge suitcases that took up...

I stayed there with my friend for 5 nights. We arrived at 5 in the morning, that was no problem. There is always somebody at the hostel. The room was nice, but really dark, had to use our phones when we wanted to look at something. The was a sink in the room wich was nice. Toilet was just next...

Just rocked up to the hotel after confirming my booking TWICE through their only booking system - email. I had to also contact them through Facebook because they "didn't receive the email the first time". My mum and I went in, extremely rude staff with an unwelcoming and uneasy vibe about the place. We were ignored, only to found out...

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, concierge, elevator or little bottles of shampoo in the room, this is not it. If you're looking for an excellent location near subways, a warm comfy room with unique hand painted murals on every wall, free WiFi and coffee, towels, hot shower and some cats to cuddle....this is your place. Helpful staff....

The Carlton Arms is bohemian to the nth degree! Very cool and funky. When I first say my room I was a bit taken aback, but now I am noticing all the original artwork in it. The bed is comfy too, and it all seems quite clean. There are coffee and cookies by the reception area in the morning. The...
