Join us for Joie de Vivre's New York debut, an all-new neighborhood gathering place in Chinatown. Our new boutique hotel is crowned with a rooftop terrace lounge overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. A springboard to some of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods, from here in the heart of Chinatown to the Lower East Side, Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy and Brooklyn. 50 Bowery is a boutique hotel that captures the energy of NYC, inspired by the cultural crossroads of our location on Manhattan's oldest street, where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. With this hotel's convenient location on Bowery near Canal Street and the Manhattan Bridge, getting anywhere in NYC will be a breeze. We celebrate the joy of life, where General Washington communed with his men at the Bull's Head Tavern, where actors once took the stage at the vibrant New York Theater, and where new Americans from Europe and Asia brought their optimism and ambition.

Outstanding service and cleanliness. Fresh coffee most of the day, yoga is offered, there is great food on-site. Right in the heart of Chinatown, very close to a market, and 3 blocks from Little Italy.

Hotel 50 Bowery provided great value and good comfort during my recent 3 night stay. I enjoyed the hotel - the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was clean and functional. (The shower had good water pressure - even on the 16th floor.) The elevators were fast and efficient. The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. I enjoy being in Chinatown - took advantage of the location for a wonderful dim sum breakfast/ brunch one day at a place near the hotel - and felt safe and comfortable. I walked one morning to the Lower East Side to visit Russ & Daughters for lox and bagels, and to Katz Deli. It is not a mid-town hotel, and Times Square wasn't out the front door, but it was in a great location and allowed a different perspective on New York than being in midtown. The location is good - the M103 bus stops at the front door and made it easy to get back there in the evenings from where I was during the days. And it is just a few blocks from the subway. Staff was good. I didn't have a chance to visit the Crown - the trendy rooftop bar - but I hear the view is wonderful. If you're staying there, take advantage of being in Chinatown and enjoy the amazing restaurants and people in the neighborhood.

Great accommodations in the heart of Chinatown! The staff is incredibly helpful, and the rooftop restaurant, Crown, is really good for a quick bite and a few drinks. The location is busy, but they make check-in and unloading easy.

The rooms are reasonably sized (for the area) and clean. The decor was nice - kind of a post-industrial look with concrete, wood, and rusted metal. The front desk was helpful when we had questions. The area was great (Chinatown) with lots of restaurants and felt safe for a big city. P.S. I recommend Joe's Shanghai next door for yummy Chinese food. Little Italy is just a few minute walk as well.

As a solo traveler with a disability, I know I require a little more attention in a hotel, and 50 Bowery provided me with exactly what I needed. My room was spacious and accessible, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at ease, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a disability. I particularly want to mention the front desk staff, especially Amanda, Aida and Tony, for their great service and friendly manner.
