This hotel is based on a well preserved 120 yr old bank building. Nice deco, everything is neat. Room ceiling is like 20 ft tall. Lobby, dining, room and bath room are good down to details. Overall, it's a modern hotel but can bring you back in time. The restaurant offer nice dinner and breakfast bakery. We tried steak, surf...

We checked into The Trinity after a long day of travel. We loved the appeal of the place right away. The rooms are quaint and decorated beautifully. Our room had a "Vegas" style bathroom that was gorgeous...we could both get ready at the same time! Dale (the owner) and Donna (the bartender) made us feel like we were special guests...

Charming hotel with many amenities and gorgeous bathroom. Rooms are entered from the street and we were able to park steps away. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant offered free wine tasting and hotel guests were treated to a continental breakfast with a full menu of coffee selections.

We planned to stay one night at this hotel and due to illness stayed a second night. The hotel owners and staff could not have been kinder even bringing me house made chicken noodle soup piping hot and delicious. The restaurant servers were efficient and friendly and all of our meals in the restaurant were served piping hot.

The Trinity is an old bank converted very successfully to a fine hotel. Furnished well & perfectly clean. The staff is friendly and well trained. The main floor lobby features a great little restaurant & bar. The steaks, salads and pasta dishes are very good. Sampled first ever New Mexico wines .Overall a great experience. We'll return for sure..

With the oil boom in SE New Mexico, there is now an abundance of chain hotels in this small town. However, this modern hotel in a historic building (important distinction--modern plumbing and room amenities in a building that used to be a bank but has been completely retrofitted) is lovely. We were in room 202 which is a large room...

Thank for your time and lovely review. As you point out the building is a historic restoration with all the complications that implies thus the shared heat and cooling. However the matteress problems we were not aware of until you pointed it out. New ones on the way! Come and see us again to check out the improvements. Blesssings, janie Balzano

Like probably everyone else, we were in Carlsbad to go to the cave. The Trinity is a great hotel in every way. At one time it was a bank. The first floor is a restaurant and the second floor is the hotel. There are two rooms on the first floor which open to the sidewalk outside. We were in the...

This is an old bank converted to a hotel. Room was on 2nd floor up old but renovated stairwell, no elevator. Room was fine, neat, clean and comfy. It appears the historic nature led to restrictions when renovated. Being a retired Fie Chief, it lacked fire sprinkler protection, but had recent heat and smoke detectors installed. I have been in...

My boyfriend and I had just done an overnight hike to McKittrick Canyon and were looking for a good meal and a restful nights sleep. We found them both at The Trinity.
