In a small town with few options, we spent one night and found it to be clean and adequate for our needs. Rooms were pretty standard with the addition of a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was what you would expect with scrambled eggs and sausage for hot items. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

Had a great visit in Torrey and this hotel was super. Clean, modern room, also a pool and hot tub! The hot breakfast was just what I needed to start the day. Very helpful with dining suggestions and attractions to see! Would definitely stay here again. Had an upstairs room at the back with a wonderful scenic view.

We stayed at the Red Sands while visiting Capitol Reef. Our stay was extremely pleasant. The staff was nice and accomodating. The rooms were immaculate, the beds a bit firm but pretty comfortable, and the views out our second story window were great. The hotel has an excellent free breakfast with rotating selections. There is a nice, small, indoor pool... More

The hotel is on the main road, with no special characteristics. The rooms are plain and adequate. The breakfast is so bad, we chose to eat elsewhere. The eggs came from a mix - tasting more of cardboard than of eggs. The sausage was undercooked. No fresh fruit was offered, only sweetened sugary canned peaches. We won't stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Red Sands. I didn't expect to find such a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly, and our room was large with a California king bed, microwave/fridge, new carpet and tile. We had a view of the mountains from our window too. The only downside was that there... More

We stumbled in there after a day of hiking in the rain in Escalante and a harrowing drive through the pass to get there. The lady who greeted us at check in was wonderful....very friendly and helpful. She suggested a cowboy bar called the Saddlery for dinner that had a country western band that night. I loved the music playing... More

The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable after a long day of hiking. New carpet and tile but dated decor. The breakfast was good but not great. Very friendly staff. Like all of the tiny town, the internet connection wasn't as fast as most people are used to, but it wasn't bad. It was nice to have a... More

After a long day of driving, just hoping for something quick to eat and a place to sleep. Got so much more. Staff was SO nice and helpful. No place open to get anything to eat, so she suggested a pizza place that would deliver to the hotel, gave us her copy of the menu, and even made suggestions. Got... More

In it's former life, the Reds Sands Hotel was a low range budget hotel - very basic. A few years ago it was acquired by new owners who have completely renovated the property. While not on the luxury end of the spectrum, it is still a very good hotel with several amenities. There's a small, indoor pool and hot tub,... More
