We stayed three nights at the Burrus House Inn and it was wonderful. Every "room" is a gorgeous waterfront suite. The beds are so comfortable, the views are amazing and we had two private decks with our suite. I have been coming to the Outer Banks for all of my life. I have always stayed in oceanfront accommodations. I would...

We decided to try something different for our 27th wedding anniversary and visited Manteo, NC - our first time in the Outer Banks. We were met by Vicki at the inn - she is friendly and so helpful. As it was in early May and there was no one else at the inn, she very kindly upgraded us to a...

We go to Manteo frequently and have stayed at many of the Inns there. By far, Burrus House is the best. The rooms looked to have been recently renovated and have gorgeous views of the water. The rooms are all suite style and have a large sitting area and bedroom. No breakfast is served, but coffee is provided in the...

We stayed in the Jule Day room on the third floor. Lots of stairs but so worth it for the private deck. It got a little chilly at night so we turned on the gas fireplace, lovely. We walked to Striper's Bar and Grille for dinner and large-screen NCAA basketball, another plus. There's a 12-cup Mr. Coffee in the kitchenette...

We got married in Manteo and stayed here for three nights that weekend, along with several friends and family. Vicky was so great and helpful with our reservations and stay! The Inn and the rooms are spacious and absolutely gorgeous! We had a big group of family over the first night and gathered to share desserts in the main living...

The Inn cancelled my reservation and after two weeks they still have not refunded the $455.00 charge to my credit card. While in the area, I tried to make contact face to face at the Inn and no one was ever available to discuss the problem with. I spoke with a representative twice, and both times the person stated that...

We selected the Burrus House Inn partly for it's central location for our trip. We specifically came to visit the Alligator River NWR and Pea Island NWR. Manteo and Roanoke Island are right in the middle of these, and the Inn provided easy access. We stayed in the Jule Day room on the 3rd floor. This was spacious with a...

We stayed here for 2 nights during a quiet week in November. We drove 8 hours from Flat Rock after a conference and it is totally worth the trip. The inn is large and elegantly decorated. The attention to detail in the rooms is amazing. We stayed on the second floor in the Reba Irene room. The bed is comfortable,the...

The Burrus House is more an appartment than a B&B as there is not a breakfast service or other amenities. The rooms however are great. We had a hugh bathroom with spa-tub and two veranda's with views of the sound. The owner, Vicky, was very helpfull in showing the way to some restaurants.
