I recently took a semi-business trip and decided to use my Starwood points to get a suite at the US Grant. When I arrived, they had upgraded me from a "Superior" to a "Luxury Suite." This was a very large room with two queen beds, overstuffed pillows, and excellent quality furnishings. The views from the hotel were of the Gaslamp...

Albequerque is a journey from San Diego but a piece of your heart will always remain here. We are elated that this stay exceeded your expectations! This is our most sought after achievement. Your details are all poignant and well positioned to assist fellow global explorers with their selection of a hotel and for this we are very grateful! When...

This is the second time we have stayed at The US Grant hotel. Both times have been great experiences. The hotel is rated a 5-star hotel, the rates for the fall time of the year were very reasonable. Since it is a Starwood Preferred Guest hotel, we got upgraded to a nicer room on a higher floor. They also offered...

This is a lovely property in the near Gas Lamp area of San Diego. The suite was expansive, nicely furnished, but needed more light at night in the bedroom. Bathroom had no tub, but a large stall shower was perfect. Plush towels. What kept me from giving this a five-star rating was inconsistently of service (two of four nights, turndown...

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in mid Oct - wow - what a great hotel. Lobby is really classy and the decor what you'd expect of a heritage hotel. Excellent & personalized services - check-in, bell boy and valet. The room was well appointed - very comfy bed - and great bathroom with all of the plus...

We came here to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. From the moment we pulled up to the valet we were treated with impeccable customer service. Robert was at the reception desk when we checked in and was genuinely interested in our story of how we met. We are seniors, both widowed after long happy marriages and were lucky to have...

My girlfriend and I stayed here in September 2012 while visiting friends in San Diego. The hotel is very historic (built by the grandson of Ulysses S. Grant, for whom the hotel is named after) with lots of charm. The rooms are very nicely appointed, but two things really sold us on this hotel: the outstanding service, and the breakfast...

The minute I walked into the lobby I thought I was in the wrong place. Way too fancy for me. But I was in the right place, and what a place. I was treated like a king and being a project manager for an Australian company I was noy used to such luxury. The staff were some of the nicest...

A one of a kind hotel with great ambience and charm. I found myself wondering around the lobby and surrounding areas like it was a museum. Room was very comfortable and impressive with artwork. Room had the old world feeling yet was updated. Service was generally superb with a glitch. Check in was smooth and friendly yet I just got...

I stay at W and Westin SPG properties because they usually leave nothing to be desired and US Grant was no different. Beautiful facility, historic charm and very well appointed. The historic photos in the lower level are very interesting so go take a look! Also, the Crystal ballroom is so beautiful and hidden in the LL. We were upgraded...

We checked into the Grant on Friday. It is a great hotel, full of history and situated near the famed gaslight district. We had a great rate, great service and when our return flight to Newark was cancelled, we were able to check in again at the same rate. Mark and rest of the staff was always pleasant and most...
