I love this older style hotel with its smaller rooms and strange pull-string toilet. I feel as though I stepped back in time. My room faced the street and I enjoyed seeing people scurrying around in the Gaslamp district. If you need bright lights in the bathroom to do your makeup and tons of outlets to plug in all your...

This is a gorgeous hotel in the gas lamp district. The rooms are quaint, everything is beautiful. There is a wood bar with one of the best whiskey menus I've ever seen. In terms of service-- I left my car / house keys in my room, and one of the managers drove them to me at the airport so I...

The hotel has great character but really well kept and clean. It also offers a great central location within easy walk to the gas lamp district where there are lots of bars and restaurants on offer! Valet parking too

Location very central, and externally I guess some would say has old-world charm, but internally old-world doesn't really work for me. If this was a hotel in the UK it would at best be a 3*. The rooms are very dated/tired, perhaps by design, but I'm sure you could have modern interiors without losing any of the character. There is...

Right down town, where are the action is. Just around the corner from some of the best bars on the west coast. I booked thru tripadvisor and saved $50 over what the hotel told me at the front desk. Nice clean room. Loved the hotel.

Classy hotel. Lot of old style furniture, paintings and items. check out is at noon which gives some extra time. Rooms get noise and cold wind from closed windows or balcony. Valet parking is around $17 but on sundays and holidays it is possible to find free street parking nearby. Tons of bars, restaurants, Cafes within walking distance.

Came here for an early evening drink with colleagues. Great relaxed atmosphere for a bar in a hotel. Live Piano was lovely over a few drinks. Lovely staff in the bar area. Colleagues are staying at the hotel who confirm that it is a great hotel that is central to the Main Street for bars and restaurants

We love historical hotels, and the Horton did not let us down. The public spaces are beautiful and tastefully renovated. Our room had a fireplace and a small balcony that overlooked the courtyard. The bed was extremely comfortable. Because the bed is positioned directly in front of the fireplace and the room is quite narrow, you can't actually see the...

Good hotel. Great downtown location. It's somewhat dated but that's the theme. Very good restaurant and reasonably priced. Very helpful staff willing to assists you. You can even walk to the San Diego Zoo from here as well as to the seaport. Less than a mile from the Convention Center.
