During a brief one-night stay, we were at the annex building away from the main building of the hotel. My room was extremely large, comfortable, clean, and overlooking the marina. The patio was perfect for relaxing before bed! The bathroom was clean and I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay - I just wish it had been...

The San Diego Sheraton is conveniently located right by the airport, which is (a big perk of traveling to SD) just about a ten minute drive from downtown & the gaslamp district. Before I talk about the room and amenities, I wanna point out the SPECTACULAR view the hotel offers. My room, which was on the club level of the...

We stayed two nights for an Irish Dance Competition. Sadly our daughter got sick, so she didn't dance, so we took the opportunity to have a little honeymoon after getting married 3 weeks ago. The room was perfect and everyone was super friendly! This is a great location close to everything. I really hope we have the dance competition there...

Excellent location for viewing the bay or walks. Staff was very courteous. Restaurant and bar a bit busy at times as they had a big convention and there was a golf tournament nearby. Bell staff, parking and concierge service excellent.

While visiting San Diego for a Marine graduations I spent on night in the hotel. The rate was very reasonable, but was they talked me into an upgrade to allow to the Penhouse Lounge. They raved about he evening and breakfast buffet. On both I was very disappointed. The upgrade was definitely not worth the extra $100.00 - In addition...

We stayed here our last 2 nights in town and were put in a townhouse villa overlooking the marina. It was a 2 story villa with balconies on each of the floors (we were on the 2nd and 3rd floors). The first floor had a living area with a small fridge and bar area, pull out couch, and half bath....

We stayed here for 2 nights when we visited California last year and the hotel was immaculate very clean, the room was big and had everything we wanted in a hotel room. It was also in a good location so that we could access everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely stay again.

I come to the Sheraton every January for a conference. This is my third year. In the past, I've been really impressed with this hotel. However, this year was a different story. It took a long time for my room to be ready. The room is really run down. I'm on the club level. The fixtures in the bathroom are...

Pleasant stay, kind of run down though especially for prices paid for food, services, etc. I would not choose to stay here if the conference were not located here. Better signage is needed in conference area and to get around various areas at the hotel.

If the rooms didn't have a million dollar view, they'd compete with a motel 6 for shabby, and I was on a SPG floor. No excuse for tired, shabby furnishings. But, it was clean, the bed was great and all service staff were great. There are 2 buildings here so if you're coming for a convention make sure you get...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
San Diego has established itself as a destination featuring world class spirit with genuine warmth. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina offers an authentic San Diego experience. Iconic sunsets and a waterfront destination…it’s comfortably upscale without pretense. As an architectural cornerstone positioned at the point of entry into the city - by air or sea - the imposing facade of the hotel reflects an architectural design inspired by the region’s naval influence. In the mid 1800s, city leaders realized the potential of the San Diego Bay and, with the anticipation of the opening of the Panama Canal, the importance of improving the harbor for commerce. Significant modifications were needed to the Bay to accommodate large ships. As a result, Harbor and Shelter Island were developed, as well as much of the land beneath the San Diego International airport. Today’s San Diego has evolved into a place to meet and share inspiration. Overlooking the scenic San Diego Bay and a private marina, the hotel is a place where San Diego soul and contemporary style go hand and hand. A Bayside resort with urban accessibility, the hotel is a waterfront hub connecting you to the destination’s renowned attractions. Ideally located within easy reach, the historic Liberty Station, the waterfront districts of Point Loma, the energy of Little Italy and the Gaslamp Quarter offer convenient, lively dining and entertainment venues. Amongst exquisite lifestyle decor and a relaxing atmosphere, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina reflects a perfect haven for the active lifestyle that is woven deep into the region’s DNA. There are waterside fire pits and three pools - each with a unique personality. But most importantly, the hotel is designed to make best use of San Diego’s average 72 degree year-round sunny weather. Sitting on the dock of the Bay, the hotel offers access to water sport rentals and sailing tours to provide an extraordinary perspective of San Diego. Along with the diversity that found home in San Diego, the intense energy that the destination acquired offers a remarkably unique experience. Naturally, this energy worked its way into the foundation of the hotel. From the moment of arrival, the hotel is designed to offer a scenic environment with unmatched flexibility and capability. The nautically inspired guest rooms and suites come with an elegant array of amenities and social enabling conveniences. Social travelers seeking something astonishing can choose one of the spacious and well equipped suites for a unique and luxurious home away from home. Reflecting the needs of the world’s social traveler, a great hotel is built with much more than awe-inspiring design. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina enlists a warm, friendly and tenured staff that is connected to the urban energy of downtown San Diego. ... more   less
