I have been visiting San Diego on business for nearly two decades and this is one of my "go to" hotels. I cannot stand spending a lot of money on hotels and I enjoy hotels with history and charm. Built in the '30s by the family of child actor Jackie Coogan, this hotel, right on Balboa Park, is just 10...

I'm still not sure how I feel about this one night we stayed at the Inn at the Park in San Diego on our way back to Tucson. We usually stay downtown at the Kimpton but on a weekday with the ballgame the rooms were more than usual and I was traveling with my niece and nephew and needed at...

When I came to this hotel, the lobby was under construction. So I didn't see much of what the lobby was supposed to look like. Parking was hard to get at certain times because it is public and the hotel parking is very small and costs money. Our room was definitely worth the money we had a wonderful view of...

We traveled to San Diego in early April for our Spring Break vacation and we chose to stay at Inn at the Park for six nights. We were so glad that we stayed there! The resort in undergoing renovations, and we were honestly a little worried about this when we booked our stay because we thought that it would be...

I've stayed at this hotel twice, both times I was staying for comic con. The first time I stayed here was July 2010 for a single night. Comic con had just finished but we were looking to spend another night in san diego so we called up this hotel and got a room easily. Our first stay was very nice,...

Yes, the construction is real and present. Ignore it as much as possible and this is a good place to stay. One half of the the hotel is walled off and under construction. There is a six-storey building being built on the south side of the hotel. If you don't mind the daytime noise because you will be out exploring...

The hotel could be nice(big rooms, good mattress), if it was not for the construction noise during weekdays on the southern side (the manager has time to answer every comment here online but seems unable to warn guests of this noise), the thin windows which let yo hear every car on the street, the average motel-style breakfast in only a...

We felt like we stayed in a fancy hotel with the valet parking. Customer service was great. We had only been in the room for about 10 minutes when they called to make sure we had settled in ok and if we needed anything. It's also close to restarants and shopping. Also about a mile away from the San Diego...

Stayed with 2 others last weekedn. great access - walking distance (about 2 blocks) to a shuttle to the Museums and zoo at Balboa Park. You are on the edge of the park for pleasant walks. The Hillcrest distance is in walking distance too for good restaurants. However, due to renovations, which we didn't know about because we didn't scrutinize...

I would like to thank you for taking your time in giving feedback regarding your most recent stay with us at Inn at the Park. As it is dis concerning to hear that we were not able to accommodate your party during our continental breakfast experience on the 7th floor rooftop. While we do try to set-up the breakfast area...

This gorgeous old roaring-20's hotel is getting a make-over and it's going to restore the gem to her original luster, with refinements! The Inn is right beside Balboa Park in the middle of Hillcrest, which is an ideal location for visiting all of the Balboa Park attractions. The property has a roof-top terrace with 360 degree panoramic view of the...
