The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, well lite, big bathrooms with great towels, safes in room, free wifi in room, coffee bar in morning in lobby, beautiful pool area, and dog friendly. The complimentary happy hour is fun - friendly other guests and a great way to relax .

I stayed at this hotel for the first time for a business meeting. My room was very nice and the conference room for our meeting was comfortable and just the right size for our group. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. Tim at the front desk was a huge help with taking care of a last...

I have stayed in several Kimpton properties and I would rate this one in the middle in terms of amenities, decor, etc. The rooms, although recently remodeled, remain average compared to some of the other Kimpton properties. The pool area was a nice respite and our server poolside was very friendly and prompt, which we appreciated. The location is likely...

This hotel is nice. Prior to my stay Eric was amazing at assisting me in what room would work the best and answered all of my questions. The staff is attentive and warm and we felt very welcomed from the minute we arrived. Q at the front desk was fantastic. Our room was lovely. It felt huge. We were on...

Enjoyed our visit and service was great! Appreciated the good restaurant recommendations from the front desk staff. Got the corner room on the 10th floor overlooking Petco park which was a bonus. The huge bathroom and super deep bathtub was awesome. Special shout out for Tina who was our room attendant who left us personal notes each day after servicing...

This was a very nice hotel. The location was excellent and it was easy to get to restaurants and gaslamp district. The fourth floor had a nice pool and bar that was open till late at night. The only problem we had was being awakened at 2 o'clock in the morning by the people next to us. I don't know...

The staff went above and beyond for my stay. I was able to check in early, and talk to them about the night ahead recommending bars and places to eat. At the end of our stay we ended up filing a police report for theft outside of the hotel, and when I mentioned this to the kind staff they allowed...

Stayed here for a family vacation. Pros: - enjoyed the modern, boutique feel - clean, comfy rooms - great roof top pool and bar - lots of restaurants in the area Cons: - pricey parking - better for business travelers or couples - pricey on-site restaurant Good launching point for downtown activities. Not close to the beach. Nice hotel but...

It sounds like you had a very nice stay and I'm glad you enjoyed your rooftop/pool experience. We booked 3 rooms for a 6 night stay over New Years . One of the rooms assigned to us was a virtuoso suite 717. Upon opening the door we were hit with the smell in this room. It was horrible. We tried to open the window at first to air it out. But this didn't help as the windows...

Dear Annthereistood – first off, please accept my sincerest apologies for the seemingly disappointing visit you experienced to our property to ring in the new year. It sounds like we got close to your expectations with the friendliness of our team, location and wine/beer reception each evening but definitely failed to impress from a rooming standpoint. I would love to...

Have stayed at many Kimptons and although this was not my favorite Kimpton property, the location is great and the staff is awesome as i have found in all Kimpton properties. Erik at the front desk was most welcoming! Walking distance to all the action in the gas lamp district, convention center, waterfront and Petco Park.

DallasBchbum, thank you so much for your review! While I'm disappointed to see that we are not your favorite Kimpton, I’m glad to see that Erik took such great care of you during your recent stay. Our location is fantastic and I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed it as much as we do. I'd love to know what...
