My husband and I recently stayed at the Motel 6 both before and after our cruise (which left from San Diego). We picked it primarily based on location, costs, and other decent reviews, and it was exactly as we expected. Keep in mind that this is a motel, and a fairly no-frills on at that. Nevertheless, it was a safe,... More

The location is pretty great as it is a walking distance to the Gaslamp. Hotel rooms were clean and quite new but the shower wasn't the best possible. Free parking but wi-fi is chargeable and at first it didn't work (they warned us that they had some problems with the connection). I didn't like the fact that the cleaners came... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on top floor. Room size is decent with queen bed. TV good with lots of channels. Location only 5 mins walk from horton plaza. Weird showers with low pressure. Only way to get higher pressure is to increase the temp to really hot. Will be back though.

A good motel excelent value in good location! Free parking cheap wifi, and laundry facilities down stairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only one thing is it was a tad bit noisy on a couple of nights! But that's not the motels fault! I would stay here again!

Spotless, newly and stylishly renovated small room. Fine location. Amazingly low price, excellent value for money. Have stayed twice in last year and will stay again. If arriving by car during a workday, be prepared to be flexible. The hotel has 2 lots with free guest parking but these are also available for public parking during the day, in a... More

Nice clean room with nice LCD tv and timely maid service. The thing I would change is the soap would prefer body wash but, otherwise a great value motel.

To avoid generally expensive hotel rates in San Diego, the downtown Motel 6 is a good choice for those on a budget. The whole hotel was recently renovated, and looks great. Good bed, flat screen TV, excellent lighting, lots of electrical outlets, double-pane windows to keep out street noise and WiFi ($2.99 a day). I liked it.

Great downtown location. Close to Gas Lamp district, Little Italy, the trolley, and San Diego Harbor. Clean, fresh, modern rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Free parking. And all at a great price. When you are in San Diego you don't stay in your room anyway, there is so much to do. So it won't matter if the room is a little... More

I booked expecting 2 beds as I saw when I selected remodeled/remarkable. It also states that you can sleep 3-4 people which is totally not the case. The small room was malodorous, with cockroaches and expensive. My girlfriend and I were forced to sleep together. There is no toilet lid, shampoo or hairdryer. The location is good and there is...
