This place was awesome..my grandma reserved the room as a start to our honeymoon. Its located right on the street with all the bars. They were kind enough to upgrade us for our honeymoon to the st James suite which was huge! Its the size of a one bed room apartment. Theres also stairs on the top floor that take...

Old style hotel but very nice. Very helpful and friendly staff. Original , creaky old style lifts, which I believe people came from far and wide to view many years ago when installed! Although old hotel, it has a modern twist and rooms are old style but spotless and everything you need. Great area. Everything on your doorstep. Also pub...

The people working at this Hotel were very friendly and helpful, starting from offering a complementary shuttle from and to the airport, to charging only $24 a night to park (it's very expensive to park around the Gaslamp area), and the room was very clean and comfortable. Also the fact that it's a historic hotel makes the staying there very...

Room double beds not queens as described; old and terribly dated and dirty carpet. High old toilet. And a fake eye lash on our bathroom floor. Disgusting and expensive. Guest service was friendly. Concerning thear was security at night at the door. No coffee offered outside of room coffee maker.

The elevators are very old and it is really hard to get in or get ou the elevator if only one of your hands is full. Our room was very small. Bathroom had no sink. sink was out in the room. We prefered this hotel beacuse of the location and price.

Recently stayed at the Ramada Gaslamp. Spent two night in the small bedroom, traveling up and down the world's oldest/slowest elevator and dodging cockroaches. The halls and lobby did not have AC and it was HOT, especially when you have to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. All of this, however, is not my major complaint. Getting off the elevator...
