HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Lovely old hotel. The elevators were awesome, they actually have the iron gate you have to open as well as the door. Staff were all very nice and helpful. You could walk to almost everywhere including the stadium. Free shuttle from the airport was a bonus. They picked us up within 10 minutes of our call. Room was very comfy....

The hotel was a lot older than I anticipated. If it weren't for the roof top view, I would rate a lot lower. Not super clean. And I hated having to pay for parking.

The location in the gaslamp district is pretty convenient. Lots to do in this area. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is a bit run down and the carpets need a desperate cleaning. I got bronchitis from the window air conditioner. I was fine until I turned that on. It ruined my trip. Watch out for...

If you want to be in the heart of the Gas Lamp Quarter at an affordable price, this is your hotel. What you give up however is a spacious room and some more "typical" hotel amenities. It's a historic building, but it feels a little dingy and could use some sprucing up. Rooms are SMALL, luckily San Diego weather should...

I really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel is old and starting to show its age a little bit, but the old school elevators and decor add charm. The roof top deck has one of the best views of downtown San Diego and is the hidden gem of this hotel. Rooms are kinda small but being located right in the...

My wife and I stayed here to get away. We were taken back at how old the rooms were. The rooms still look like they were straight out of 1913. Kept waking up at night since the walls are paper thin. The 1913 elevator, while interesting at first, turned out to be a pain. The staff is the best strength...
