I just returned from this hotel and if I could give it 10 stars I would….it is perfect from the time I walked in….great FD service and the best room in the hotel!!!!!!!!!! I want to thank Chuck the GM for helping me with this and he has the BEST Concierge staff - those two guys were TOP NOTCH and I let them know…..the food was good..the service was outstanding….the room was amanzing…if I could purchase the bodywash I would - LOL….this hotel made my week stay AMAZING!! Perfect location….BAYFRONT!!!!!!!!! Returning in Feb!!!!
Absolutely wonderful stay here ! Staff and facility was exceptional. All portions of the hotel and restaurants were open, repeatedly cleaned, and available to use. Parking under the hotel had tight security with easy in and out system using room key at the entry and exit. . No covid closures to be seen. Plenty of covid signage and protocols. Location was perfect for all the harbor, seaport village, gas lamp, and bandshell concerts. All within walking distance. Coronado Island was a short drive for some beautiful beach R &R. A huge benefit was not encountering the homeless issues that plague other hotels. Suite overlooking the water outstanding!
I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights. I didn’t get any room upgrade being platinum elite member. I asked to get connected room but told pay $50 per room per night, Both fridges didn’t work. Shower in one room barely had runny water. We had to put one card to get power alive which felt like staying at Inn. I stayed at hundreds of hotel all over the world, and this hotel is not up to Intercontinental standard you expect from this brand. I will stay at Hyatt, Marriott or Hilton next time I come to San Diego.
We picked the InterContinental San Diego for our 19th wedding anniversary weekend. We were able to check-in early using the IHG App. The app provides you with hotel amenities, parking details, dinning options, and any additional fees (so you're not surprised by any fees). Our room was beautifully appointed and faced the water. If you need anything for your room, you are given a QR code to email (or call) the front desk. I emailed them twice and my requests were responded to almost immediately. Love THAT! Our hotel was connected to the restaurant we were visiting for our anniversary dinner, so no tipsy driving home. We ate/drank to our hearts delight. We were able to check-out of the hotel (again) using the IHG app, making the annoying hotel check in/out so seamless. Will definitely stay here again! …
I made the reservation in this hotel because I had a reservation at Seneca’s Restaurant. I celebrated my 7th wedding anniversary, and I wrote a note to the hotel to let them know nobody cared about it!! At the checking the front desk agent, it was very cold and mechanical. I pay extra for water views, and the only water I saw was from the swimming pool. The pool and the service were terrible. It took very long to receive even a drink order, and the attitude of the staff was no 4 star The room was big and clean, but the water of the shower has no pressure at all. The following day we came down for breakfast while passing for the front desk; I said good morning, and I got no response from any four agents. The breakfast was nothing special, and again the service was mediocre. The first and last time at this hotel…
