Service was bad. My check in was at 4 but they didn't have a room ready until 4:20! The restaruant was just as bad. They said they would call me when they had a table ready in 15 minutes but they never called me. When I went to talk to the hostess to inquire how much longer, they said they...

This is such a unique way to set up a hotel! There is no tall tower of rooms, but individual bungalow-style units throughout the property. It was so refreshing to feel like you really did escape to a paradise island with all the finely manicured landscaping and cool island vibes throughout the room/lobby decor. The property is well taken care...

We came to this hotel for a business meeting but stayed two extra days for pleasure. The room was clean and modern, the service was great, and the hotel is so close to everything in the area. The bonfires are stunning, the beach is great and the flowers and trees are so beautiful.

Property is a bit "dated" but not bad. If you dont have a rental car, you are stuck on the "island". If you get a room, I suggest a bayside room. Great for view, and access to beach. Also my wife loved the beach that is overrun with seashells to collect!

Will never recommend !rooms old and dirty. They needed updating. When you do plaster repair on a ceiling common sense says to paint afterwards. This was a 50 dollar room anywhere. So when I did tell them the room was dirty I got a whooping 69 dollar credit. How about cleaning my room, duh!

I could hear my neighbor behind me and I could hear their dog as they left it in their room when they left . I barked and whined for several hours. The room smelled funny, I realize we are at the beach, but this was a funky smell

The rooms are very nice...clean and very large. I was given feather pillows upon request. We booked a deluxe two queen room, which was steps from the pool/jucuzzi/fire pit and also steps from the beach, where there is a fire-pit as well (though the wood must be purchased) and Adirondack chairs to sit on to watch the sunset! The Barefoot...

Susan, it's great to hear you enjoyed the rooms, location, relaxing sunsets and dining at Barefoot Bar & Grill! We're happy to hear you enjoyed San Diego as much as we do and we look forward to welcoming you back to the island very soon. David Hall Managing Director

Extend the rail on the side glass window by door in your guest rooms or rearrange the bed so its not facing the outside and thus visable. It is strange that this would not have been a consideration in the design and layout of each room. At a minimum the rails and curtains be extended!

Very deceiving photos on website and misleading descriptions. This was a work trip to attend a conference and so I brought my wife to so a supposed "resort". It is far from a resort -small beach, poor food options, duck and bird droppings everywhere. Not pleasant.

The property was nice. Other units seemed updated. We splurged as a family for a nearby work conference stay but not sure it was worth it. Smelled like insect repellent when we arrived. Ants all over the room the entire 5 day stay from the kitchen sink to our bed! Our unit was not updated - it had mold in...
