The Ultimate Italian Hotel. Located in Little Italy and Med Style. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is located underneath the building for a nightly charge. The rooms are small but decorated nicely and modern. Hotel is is a great location right in the middle of Little Italy and about a 20 min walk to Gaslamp district. The...

We stayed at La Pensione hotel for 5 nights recently. It has a great location in Little Italy, and within walking distance to the Embarcadero and Santa Fe trolley station. It is a block away from the Hop On/Off bus stop. Our room was clean and quiet with an ocean view. The staff is friendly and helpful; gave us directions for...

Little Italy is a great neighborhood, full of wonderful restaurants and bars. La Pensione is the perfect place to stay. Hip, trendy decor, super clean, friendly staff. Stay here and you can walk through out Little Italy. And, be sure and visit on Saturday, to walk through the multi block farmers market/mercado.

We stayed two nights and walked all over Little Italy. Great restaurants everywhere. Hotel is charming with a fine staff and cool hip rooms. Highly recommend for a downtown San Diego stay. You can easily walk to the bay too.

With weeks until the kick off of the convention we had almost no options until we discovered this hotel. The hotel is a charming boutique hotel located in the Little Italy district. We...

This hotel is nice and cute if you are staying for a quick trip. The rooms are very small so its ideal for someone who will not be staying in their room long. Its very nicely decorated and the window views are of little Italy. I enjoyed my stay here!

The La Pensione gives you a European hostel in Little Italy. The rooms are small and have just the amenities you need. After all, you are only going to sleep and shower here. We had a great view of the harbor and were able to sleep with the windows open. You are within walking distance of all types or restaurants...

We arrived Christmas day and stayed five nights in room 211, which has a roll-in shower. The hotel's India Street entrance and the coffee shop next door were wheelchair-accessible. We didn't have much trouble finding parking spots using my husband's disability permit (although the street cleaning schedule did necessitate a move one night). We enjoyed morning coffee-and-pastry at Caffe Italia,...

My friend and I stayed La Pensione on New Year's Eve and were amazed how good of price we got for this nice boutique hotel in the heart of Little Italy. It was a small, European style type room, but it had everything we needed and the hotel and room were nicely remodeled. We also enjoyed the free pastry and...
