We have stayed in this hostel in the past and things have changed. The good was that the hostel has not stayed still, they have continued to keep the place clean and neat. We were pleasantly surprised with our private room to get an in room bathroom, window AC, and mini fridge. The location (heart of the Gaslamp) was great...

Located in the middle of San Diego's Gas lamp district the hostel is a 10-15 minute walk from Broadway (busses) and 10 minutes walk to Horton Plaza ( shopping centre). Free decent speed WIFI. The Hostel is surrounded by Bars and Restaurant's and the "Economy" rooms are very noisy at night with noise from the street and restaurant's. The Premium...

This is one of the best hostels I've ever been to - beautifully clean with great air con for hotter days and nights. Has all the amenities you could want including fast free wifi and great free breakfast. But the best thing is the staff - they're so friendly and helpful - talk to them for the best tips and...

I really love idea of Hostelling International non-profit hostels, so we again decided to stop tjere for 3 nights. Room was spacious and comfortable, we had our own bathroom. Unfortunately we couldn't open the window andAC was quite loud so it was hard to sleep. Breakfast was included, but it was rather poor. Anyhow, it all is compensated by great...

When I told my fiancé that we are going to be staying in a hostel he was a little hesitant but all of his worries we're gone as soon as we walked through the door. When we got to the hostel we had our own room which was beautiful. There was a binder on our bed with everything to do...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at this hostel for 2 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. Overall we had a great experience, the facilities were fantastic, the staff were friendly and very informative and the interior design was more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Further the downtown location is near to the heart of the gas...

Just registered as HI member, so try this out. It's good for the young people to mingle and share. A lot of traveling resources available but we don't really use. The pros is that the location is next to restaurants and bars, and center in the gaslamp quarter. The cons is that the area has a lot of wanderers on...

My family was skeptical about my staying in a hostel, especially since I've never stayed in one. I'm 53 and a Physician. When I went on the website, I was informed that I'd have to share bathrooms, but when I went there, there were plenty on bathrooms on each floor. There was one right next to my room and I...

Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us in San Diego. We apologize about the noise that comes from the street.
