The hotel is in the Gaslamp district, a fairly trendy area of town. The hotel lobby is nice although a bit dark (not easy to find the front door of the hotel - it is a large wooden panel, a bit odd and not easy to manage with luggage). My room was not ready so I asked for a breakfast...

This is a very friendly comfy downtown San Diego hotel with smallish rooms not unlike rooms we have experienced in other major cities such as Chicago or New York. It is clean and secure with a restaurant and valet service. Let it be known the valet is 45 dollars NIGHTLY but the adjacent public parking is not much better (very...

I'm here until tomorrow. The front desk said no gospel brunch at the House of Blues next door. My husband googled it and, what do you know, Gospel brunch every Sunday (it was amazing). They are renovating so no restaurant but they set up breakfast in a 4th floor hotel room. Husband said it felt sad...same price though as if...

My stay at the Kimpton Palomar was excellent. The staff is extremely friendly. Our check-in was handled by George, who was very cheerful and happy and explained everything about our stay. The parking is a little pricey at $45, but its downtown San Diego and you can get your car anytime you need by texting to a number. So cool!...

Our room is fantastic! In addition to the sexy vibe and the spacious modern room, our view from the walk out balcony of downtown San Diego is awesome. The staff that greeted us was great as well. Headed down for complimentary cocktails from 5-6!

My Fiancee and I recently spent five days at the Kimpton. Our room was spectacular, unmatched views and gorgeous decor. The staff are kind and welcoming. Especially Manager Mr. George Williams who was particularly accommodating given that we are dealing with a broken leg. The restaurant is under construction but don't let that stop you from dining in. I had...

I was excited to try out another kimpton but was disappointed. To start, the hotel was under construction which I think is what led to a strong unpleasant odor in the lobby during our entire stay. Second to that, the temperature of the room was so stifling that even on the 20th floor we opened the windows for some cooler...
