My husband and I have been in over a dozen hotels in the past 4-5 months. This one was by far one of the best. Comfortable bed, clean room, everything in top working order. Pleasant helpful staff. Modern and clean lobby. Great breakfast buffet. Walking distance to Little Italy and the Gaslight District. Close to the San Diego Zoo. We...

My husband and I stayed here will I attended a marketing summit. The hotel was wonderfully accommodating. I loved the focus on wellness, as I did not know the Westin was making that a part of their brand. The customer service was excellent. They have a text message program that you can ask any question or make a request via...

Overall, this was a good hotel in a good location. I found it pretty easy to walk everywhere I wanted to go (convention center, USS Midway, Gaslamp Quarter) and there were a lot of reasonable options for food nearby. The front desk staff were super nice and I always appreciate the unique details that Westin offers. There were a few...

Archer11 - Thank you for the review and for choosing the Westin San Diego. Our location is one of the best in the downtown area - walkable to all the great neighborhoods and convention center. San Diego city blocks are short and make for a quick commute anywhere you need to go. I am sorry to read of your challenges...

The Westin was a nice hotel, but as other reviewers mention watch hidden fees. That being said it is an excellent location and can walk to most downtown area. I would put USS Midway at top of list of attractions then try to get to Gaslamp area and Little Italy.

The Westin is a nice hotel with all the amenities expected from such. However, when checking out I got hit with a daily unexpected facilities fee. I asked about this and was informed that this was standard for all the amenities offered by the hotel. I'm not sure what these amenities entailed since I didn't get a chance to sample...

MikeOCC2014 - Thank you for the 4 star rating and my apologies you were unaware of the facilities fees charged by the hotel. Our facilities fee is noted and published on all sites prior to booking. I am less than thrilled by this property. Spent a weekend for leisure. Parking is a hassle unless you valet, which is expensive and results in long waits. Front desk staff is underwhelming to say the least. Check-in is painful and the wait time can be daunting. The rooms show their age. Carpets are worn and there is a distinct...
