My orthopedic surgeon daughter had a convention at the nearby San Diego Convention Center so the whole family decided to tag along with her. All the hotels around the convention site were full. I stumbled across Keating House while searching the Net. My husband and I stayed at the Music Room-- big comfortable double bed with an attached huge bathroom...

We were in town for a convention, staying at Keating House for about the 4th time. We did not rent a car, choosing to taxi in each day for about $10. Hosts at Keating House, Ben and Doug, run a great B&B, and are always available to answer questions, give recommendations, or provide assistance. The communal dining room creates lively...

Perfect place for a woman traveling alone but, during my stay, there were couples and a mother/daughter, too. Location is great for walking. I did not rent a car and walked to Little Italy, the harbor, Seaport Village, the Gaslamp, and Balboa Park. I grabbed lunches at Pizzacato and dinners at Hob Nob, both very close to the Keating House....

Both of the innkeepers are friendly and helpful in giving you tips about navigating the local area, whether by car or on foot. They also gave us several good suggestions regarding the most efficient way to visit the nearby popular attractions. The pro's: Centrally located to almost all attractions in San Diego. Good value when room rate is compared to...

The Keating House Bed and Breakfast was an ideal way to spend our first time in San Diego. Ben and Doug were perfect hosts. They opened their home to us and helped us acclimate ourselves to San Diego. Travel information was readily available near the kitchen table. My husband and I made the right decision in not renting a car...

From the adorable rooms to the caring attention of the owners, this has to be the best kept secret in San Diego. Not only does each room have its own personality and style but the owners go out of their way to make their guests feel at home in San Diego. And the breakfast is amazing. Don't miss it!

We loved every moment of our stay in the Garden Suite, with its French doors leading onto a secluded patio. Lots of attention has been given to guests' comfort and Doug and Ben are attentive, but not intrusive hosts. Their local knowledge was appreciated, as was the fabulous breakfast which started each day. We felt very much at home and...

Doug and Ben, the hosts, made us feel right at home. They attended to our diet and beverage requests at breakfast each morning. When we arrived Ben, when over many specifics about mass transit and street directions, since my husband informed them we were taking a "carless" trip this time. We spent 12 days at the Keating house on this...
