This suites-only hotel has definitely seen better times, but it has uniquely large rooms (suites hence) with its great advantage of being centrally located. Only few steps away from top seafood and Italian restaurants. A highlight is the breakfast room on the rooftop with greatest sights! Try to get a room in a higher floor.

The location of this hotel is great. However it is an old hotel. It needed deep cleaning as the shower and tiles are getting mildew already. The room is dusty and the carpet probably needs to be shampooed. The room didn't get refreshed until late in the afternoon. When I checked in and out, the staff was great. However, the...

We stayed for a week at this hotel in October. Great location and beautiful historic building. We had a room (exchanged thru RCI) that directly faced Gaslamp Square main street. So many great restaurants in walking distance right out your front door. Also walking distance to the water front. We did not even rent a car, walked most places and...

I always stay in the Gaslamp district but this was my first time at the Gaslamp Plaza Suites. They put me up on the 7th floor with great views back to the bay and convention center. The rooms are true suites with big bed, couch that folds out for another bed, flat screen and small wet bar with fridge and...

We enjoyed this hotel a lot. The mini suite we booked was great value and really big. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful and the location couldn't be better - right in the heart of San Diego, which we thought was a lovely city. Breakfast was a bit on the sparse side, but we found great places to...

Clean, comfortable room. Fridge and coffee maker. Walking distance to conference centre. Friendly service. Continental breakfast was a little simple/ boring, could be better with eggs or pancake/waffle maker...esp when staying there for 6 mornings, lol Tub could use an update, nice and large...but grout was very worn and needs a refresh.

The hotel itself is lovely - the staff are friendly, and the rooms are nice. It's a historical building which makes it unique, but poses a certain problem. The hotel is located in the heart of the Gaslamp District, which has a lot of nightlife. We stayed here on a Thursday and Friday night and it was by far the...

It's definitely a vintage hotel and that's what we wanted. The hotel room was clean and the continental breakfast on the roof was amazing with a great view. The nightlife around the hotel was full of energy with many restaurants and activities. The front desk was extremely friendly and very helpful. This is a great location. We rode Uber cars...

And if you are arriving at the airport it's a very short cheap Uber ride to the hotel $8-$9... don't take a cab, its over $20!! Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired! It's minimal...

Stayed here one night. I booked it on an internet special through a 3rd party booking site. For a Friday night I got a great deal and paid about 120.00 dollars. It was listed as a standard room. The Room - Our room was on the second floor and we walked passed a couple conference rooms to get to it....

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and feedback. Yes, the standard rooms are smaller in size and equipped with a full or a queen size bed. We will gladly accept a request of a specific bed type and we will do the best to accommodate the request. The standard rooms are smaller in size and prized accordingly. If you...
