I have memories of the Buckminster as an old hotel without much to offer other than character. I was surprised to find a renovated treasure. Big, comfortable clean room. Lots of towels. Nice staff and great location. I recommend it highly. It is not inexpensive, but still a value.

This hotel was nice for a weekend away. The room was a good space, everything was clean and comfortable. The bed was great and I was bale to get a great night sleep. I did not spend much time in the room but it was very good for the time I was in there. Some down points. First, the advertising...

I reserved a room to be closer to the hospital for my son's surgery. I booked a room for one night for $250... I got there at 10pm and was only staying until 5am the next day, and paid $35 for overnight parking in a tiny garage No one is there to help you with your luggage. I got Off...

Stayed here during Boston University open house and will no doubt return over the next four years. The hotel is nearly 120 years old and is generally well maintained, though she's showing her age. Definitely could use some decor updates -- but the cost would then go up about $200 a night! Reminded me of a European hotel, except rooms...

This hotel is pricey but the location is very good. Close to the Red Sox stadium around 5 min walking and close to the train station 1 min walking. The bar/restaurant inside the hotel serves good food at a nice price. Rooms need to be updated and it had a lot of humidity (smell). Overall good experience and will stay...

Dear Ena P, I am sorry you had an issue with your room during your stay. That is not indicative of the level of service we would like to offer at the Buckminster. This issue will be passed on to management, I am happy you'd like to visit again.

I chose this hotel because it was the closest one available to the Red Sox stadium & the area offers every kind of dinning option. The staff is very friendly & are accommodating if needed. The stadium is right across the street. Our room was on the 6th floor facing the stadium. The king bed was super comfortable and HVAC...

If this place were updated and new, it'd be $650 a night, based on its great location, so look at it that way....the rooms are adequate, they have a flat screen tv, ref ridge, etc etc....By farther best aspect is where it is, particularly if you're coming in to see Fenway Park or Boston U. Parking was easy and right...

I searched for an affordable hotel about 7-10 days prior to our trip to Boston. I had originally booked elsewhere that was located a little further from the city. Then I found this hotel and it's location was perfect for us since we were in town to visit Boston University and Boston Conservatory. There is a parking garage (extra fee...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
