We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at Custom House in Boston. The location is perfect to walk to historic sites including Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Old State House and more. It is also an easy walk to the North End and wonderful Italian restaurants. Check in was easy, associates were very welcoming and they quickly accommodated our request to have no steps in our suite (some suites have an upstairs bedroom loft). The lobby has been left in an original historic state but nicely appointed for a hotel. All associates for the hotel were friendly and helpful. Our suite was on the 8th floor. There were only a handful of suites on our floor and most floors as I understand. We entered into a beautifully appointed living area with living room, dining area (seating for 4) and kitchenette that included a microwave, fridge/freezer and kitchen items - glasses, plates, etc. There was a large TV and comfortable seating in this area - the couch is a sofa bed (we did not use as such.) The bedroom was large and comfortable, again with a TV. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. The bathroom had doors to the living and bedroom areas and included many towels and luxury hair and body products. Lighting was plentiful throughout the suite. The suite was spotless and perfect in every way. The furniture was not worn, room-darkening shade worked perfectly, carpet seemed new and bathroom fixtures were spotless and beautiful. Wifi was fast and free. We were relatively near the elevators and yet heard no noise while we were in the bedroom. Views were spectacular! We went up to the observation deck on the 26th floor both during the day and night and enjoyed the 360 degree views. There are many activities planned throughout the month - some free, including tours of the building and some for a small fee, including a tour of the North End restaurants that have food tastings. We were sorry not to have been able to participate in them due to our schedule. One thing would make this stay better - include the Continental Breakfast instead of charging a la carte. For the cost of the stay here, it really should be included or, at the very least, have one small fee that would include anything on the menu.…
Outstanding location to visit Boston. Spectacular views of the city from the 26th floor observation deck. Also the home to nesting Perrigine Falcons. They offer a variety of tours of the local area along with whiskey and beer tastings. Large number of dining places nearby. Try Jack Hooks for lobster rolls or Broadside Tavern for Irish fare.
My family stayed here for 4 nights in April. It is walkable from South Station, and easy to find throughout the stay due to the clock tower. The pullout couch was comfortable (and not a cheap pad on strings), and requested a rollaway bed (which is the size of a twin mattress, it's big, so keep in mind that it doesn't fold away inconspicuously in the morning). The views were nice, and they had a few amenities that we all enjoyed (cocktail hours, snacks). Although we have kids we did not use the kids room or movie room (we were fine with watching tv in our own room). We went to the activity room for 30 minutes to play checkers and pool, and went a few times to the observation deck. It is centrally located, so it was convenient that as we walked past it to drop off and pick up items. There is a market we found a few blocks away (Golden Goose Market) that we stopped at for beers, breakfast items, and snacks. They also sell hot items. Boston is a very walkable city and anywhere from the state house end of boston commons to the Paul Revere house is centrally located and walkable for a family. So while this was a great experience here, I would open up the area we stay at for future visits.…
The location of the hotel is great, for those coming to the financial district. Suit is very nice with stunning view. Breakfast, however, is one of the worst i've ever been to, certainly far from what you'd expect from a 5*, ~400$ hotel !!
We always wanted to stay here but rates can be pricey, found great promo rate on marriott.com presidents week 2 night stay arrived at 3:30 pm and waited 10 min for room to be ready. Front desk staff nice, points instead of breakfast for platinums since its vacation property. 7th floor newly renovated room, even the carpet smelled new, suite is huge everything perfect but no housekeeping yet for short stays. Free coffee 2nd floor in morning in Counting room, they have a la carte breakfast and its reasonable see pics. We had drinks one evening and beer and wine prices were inline with bars in area. Make sure you go check out the rooftop and take photos. There is no platinum late checkout since it’s a vacation club. We took the T right outside front door to Logan for flight home, can’t get easier than that. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.…
