The hotel is really well located in the heart of Boston, a couple blocks from Faneuil Hall where you can then follow the freedom trail across town. There are not too many restaurants opened nearby on the weekend as it is also close by the Financial District. But as mentioned, if you go a little further you can find a...

I cannot think of a better location for staying in Boston. Close to the waterfront, restaurants, and the Freedom trail. The hotel is lovely and almost everyone was wonderful. The rooms are nice and very clean. Only 2 issues that keep this a 4 rating. 1 the restaurant. We asked for our vouchers and the front desk check in was...

Went to sleep at around 7pm as i'd just flown in from the UK. Before it went dark I heard the room door open. I assumed it was house keeping with some sort of turn down service, and they hadn't realised someone was inside. In the morning I found my wallet missing, and the bedroom door held ajar on the...

$20 buffet breakfast--cooked food was cold. Better meals at Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn, to be honest. Mildew and mold in the bathroom tile grout with caulking over it! At some $300/night.... nope. Our housekeeper did her job very well.

Everything was great until their staff forgot to change my reservation and I received a call in the middle of my meeting to return to the hotel and collect my things or receive a fee for late checkout and be thrown out of the hotel- OR, pay double rate. Absolutely ridiculous. I got blackballed by their management and scammed into...

This hotel is one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. The bellmen are fantastic as well. The view is good, and it was quiet except for one night. Saturday night, the bar nearby was very loud. Loud cars going by all night, music blasting, and people screaming. I was on the 11th floor and it still was loud. Obviously,...

Great location and the guys that work out front were very helpful and pleasant. Rest of staff indifferent, room so dark it felt like a dungeon. The buffet breakfast has no place in a Hilton. Very basic, positioned in a dark room with shabby furniture and a beaten up floor. Surely the management can do better.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
