Nothing fancy but a nice clean classic downtown hotel. Good value compared to others in immediate area. We stayed at the boutique hotel next door for twice as much and it was much hipper but if that's not important to you then this is great. Good friendly service too.

I stayed here in January of 2015 for three nights and was very happy with my experience. The room was a nice one with a great bed, nice linens and spotless housekeeping. The Parker House is the grand dame hotel of Boston and it's location is ground zero for tourists. You can't ask for a better locale. The lobby was... More

Pull up to the Omni where the valet and doorman were extremely courteous and helpful. The front desk staff and conceierge were pleasant and help. The old world nature of the hotel is apparent in the grand lobby. The rooms were clean but extremely tiny, as was the bathroom. For a quick overnight it was tolerable but would have preferred... This review is based on only a one night stay. Older hotel, but it is still in good shape. This is not always the case for these old hotels. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean and furnishings were in good shape. My room was quiet and I slept well, even though I am a light... More

There were no disappointments at this lovely hotel. We arrived early, hoping to park our luggage, and our room was ready for check in. From that moment, until our check out, our stay at the Omni Parker was delightful, as well as memorable.

Probably qualified as a luxury or 4-star hotel two centuries ago but not today: the rooms are tiny, with tremendously loud/clinking window hvac units, followed by constant noise from early morning room service and noise bleeding through the thin walls from other rooms.

I've just spent 6 days in wonderful old style hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Service was great. Perfect location (on Freedom Trail) for walking to historic points of interest, Boston Common and also shopping. Unfortunately my visit coincided with the worst snow in decades. My only criticism is lack of handrails in bath/shower. Hope to visit again at more favourable time... More

In fact, for anyone wanting to self-park, there is a garage just around the corner, although their overnight rates aren't much less expensive than our valet parking rate of $39.75, the lowest such rate of any downtown Boston hotel. More

Tiny room, and even smaller bathrooms. Awkward room and bathroom layouts. For example, my tv is wall mounted, but cannot swivel towards the chair or other bed in the room. The bathroom is oddly configured too. Clean. Great location. Fine for a work overnight. 40 bucks for overnight valet parking and no nearby garage on cold winter night. Seems too... More

My husband got 2 nights here as a Groupon deal for our babymoon. The location is fabulous - easy to get to from the green or red line, walking distance to the theater district, Faneuil Hall, and the north end (as long as you don't mind walking). The hotel is very old, built in 1855. I loved it. The old... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
