This review is for their world famous Boston cream pie, not the hotel as we stayed elsewhere. We ordered 2 Boston cream pies in the gift shop for $8.50 each. Each slice is about 3 inches in diameter, so not many bites per pie The taste is really good, but there is better just around the corner at "Flour Bakery"....

I stayed at the Omni Parker for a one night meeting. My room was small, but very well equipped and modern. The bed was extremely comfortable. All services are excellent, and the location of the hotel is perfect for visiting in Boston - a block from the Common and easy walking distance to all the history. The price was high...

This may be the classiest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! Booked via Hotwire--more than I would usually sped on a hotel, but probably underpriced for this establishment. Just fantastic all around--highly impressive!

What a loverly surprise to find that the old Parker House Hotel was as beautiful as ever and was affordable! Right in the heart of Historic Downtown Boston, the hotel is within walking distance of practically everything. The décor is nothing short of stunning and the rooms, though "old fashioned" were wonderful! Free Wi-Fi, up to date TV's, large old...

The hotel is conveniently located next to Boston Commons and down the street from the State House, Quincy Market, and the North End. You can also walk across & down the street to Park Station and take the Green Line to Fenway, Copley Square, & the TD Garden. We regret that the issue of someone else smoking wasn't handled as well as you would have liked and appreciate that your overall stay was nonetheless enjoyable. Many thanks for your comments and we hope to host you and your family again.

Relative to boston pricing this was OK. It was nice being right downtown near all of the historical area, shopping etc. convenient and service was pretty good. Had a fire alarm go off (false alarm)- but was handled well.

The hotel is one of the oldest in Boston. The décor and ambience is amazing. Staff is friendly and nice. Very good service. Do not forget to have the Boston Crem Pie at one of their restaurants! All in all enjoyable stay.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
