Stayed here for the Boston Marathon's part of a Sports tour. Really centrally located, walking distance to much of the sights. Great for accessing Boston Common for the race bus pickup. It's an old historic hotel so expect to queue for the elevators. The rooms are moderate sized and much what you expect from centrally located, older hotels on the East Coast of the US. There is a bar and restaurant on site that we didn't use. There is also a coffee shop that we used a couple of times to grab coffee and pastries.

My wife and I loved our stay here. It was our first time in Boston, and this hotel is so central to the Freedom Trail and Boston sights. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and we really enjoyed the Boston cream pie. It would be nice to come back after COVID so the restaurants/breakfast schedule or more normal.

We lucked up and got a great rate on a room with a double bed. Best rate in downtown Boston! But when we checked in the young lady offered to upgrade us to a queen room on a higher floor at no extra charge! No brainer there! Room was on the small size but quite adequate for the two of us. Bed very comfortable. Convenient to two major subway stations and walking distance to just about anything you want to do downtown. Freedom Trail goes right by the hotel. Everyone we came in contact with - doormen, bell men, front desk, concierge, ladies at the School St cafe - all were very friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. School St Cafe is a great place for a quick grab-n-go breakfast or lunch. And they do have the Boston cream pie - fantastic! Loved our stay!

Omni parker house must have been a grand hotel in its heyday with a great location in the heart of downtown and close to Boston Common. Unfortunately that was a long time ago. The entrance foyer looks grand but when we got to the room we found it very much showing it’s age with peeling paint and the door to the bathroom had a notch cut out of it to let it pass the toilet. To be fair the bed was comfortable and the room a good size. There were three different restaurants/bars but none of them served breakfast. Not an issue because you’re in the heart of downtown but something to be aware of. The final thing to comment on was the price. It was moderately expensive to start with but also charged a $25 per night “destination fee”, something new to me from the UK and not advertised when the nightly price was quoted. It is on their website but not within the quote which we received when booking. It was taken at check in in the same breath as the deposit on the room and when we asked what it was for we were told it got you internet, digital newspapers and access to some computers within the hotel. All of the benefits were either irrelevant or things I would expect as a minimum in most basic hotels. Unfortunately I think this coloured my view of the hotel a lot. Thankfully I really enjoyed exploring Boston and so didn’t spend too much time in the hotel. Final thoughts: The location is fantastic and in that respect it is good but the rooms are not great and the price too high with hidden add-ons. I’d recommend trying to find other places near here but where they are more honest about what they will offer.

Traveling with my adult daughter, as soon as we stepped in hotel, we were greeted with friendly faces. This carried on throughout our stay, any and all staff helpful, and friendly. We had only booked a somewhat small room, but were able to upgrade with no trouble. The beds very comfy, room very quiet and clean. I appreciate the solid wood core doors in bathroom and even closet. Excellent location to explore Boston. Close to T station. Had a wonderful experience and would come again.

My daughter and I decided to have an early lunch at the Imni Parker House because we had heard that this is where the Boston Cream Pie was originated. This is actually not a lie at all, but a cake. It has pudding in the middle. The presentation was wonderful. The cake rested on a smear of raspberry and a line of chocolate. It was accompanied by some strawberries and whipped cream. Before having the dessert, we made an experience out of it, splitting a Waldorf salad which we had with coffee and orange juice. The waitstaff was very attentive and courteous. We commented that our Waldorf salad seemed like a lot considering it was split between two plates. He said that’s what the chef wanted to present to us. We saw that some patrons only got the dessert, but we were so glad we did more.

When Boston Cream Pie was created around the time of the Civil War, pie tins were commonly used for baking. This is why it was called "pie" even though it was, is and always will be a cake! We're pleased to read you and your daughter enjoyed dining with us and hope you also tried our famous Parker House rolls.....thanks for your review!

This is our second visit to this hotel last time being thanksgiving 2018.We love this hotel lovely staff and very close to all major sites and attractions. The only minus points on this visit was lack of usual facilities and increase in extra charges ,while we are fully aware of these extra costs neither BA who we booked with or the hotel website had updated the new price increases. Now we are all very aware that we've just lived through a pandemic, but surely if the restaurants etc aren't open as normal and restricted amount of people in last hurrah in the evening you shouldn't expect people to be paying so much for restricted services. On our 1st morning parkers restaurant was closed so we had breakfast in the bar area and we were told that would be for our whole stay midway through with anyone bothering to tell us parkers reopened and duringour entire stay conciergedesk was closed thats really not good especially for a insulin dependent diabetic senior citizenwho needs to plan meal times. Yes we loved our stay and will be back ,but more communication is needed from the hotel ,we travel from the United Kingdom so its already a expensive holiday and what upset us most was the hotel had a discounted special offer rate for the month of February, yet it was reflected in our pre paid booking, really isn't fair p.s this was a gift for me from my Daughter who I travelled with.

We apologize for being unclear about any element of your stay with us and appreciate you taking time to inform us of this issue. Parker’s Restaurant has not been closed for breakfast at any time recently so we’re confused by your comment in that regard. As to the Last Hurrah, we are limited by city regulations to 65 guests at any one time and must follow this rule to the letter.

I stayed at the Omni Parker House hotel for a week in April 2023. If this had been a tourist visit then I would say this is a perfect choice. It’s in the city centre close to key tourist sites and shops. The hotel has a long history which makes it quite interesting. As a business location the desk is a bit small, and the soundproofing from the adjoining room was poor. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

Pros: beautiful, charming, historic hotel ideally located to Freedom Trail and Boston Common. Friendly, helpful staff. Cons: Pricey. $500 a night (with fees), small rooms, no refrigerator and few amenities. As a history buff I loved it and would recommend it. My practical husband disagrees. While I saw the rooms as cozy and charming, he saw them as small, dated and lacking a refrigerator :)

Thank you for your feedback, especially the kind remark about our staff. Our history and location are unique in Boston and our prices are always in line with other hotels in our downtown area. There are several different room types available so we suggest you try an executive room on your next visit and request a fridge, which we’ll be pleased to provide.

This is my 3 stay at this hotel. This was the the worst of the 3. It’s a beautiful hotel. To start the rate has went up around $150-200 a night. Upon arrival seemed ok. Get to room. They forgot to give us our bottled water. I know seems trivial , for what you spend to stay there. Everything should be spot on. Next, our room HVAC unit wasn’t working properly. I did call front desk. They sent someone to check. He said was ok. It was not. Couldn’t get it to regulate. Kept shutting down. It was a long day. We were tired. Husband was asleep. I called and asked just to bring a fan and leave at door. They could address in am. They did. Next am. We left around noonish. No one had checked. I stopped at desk, seems they wasn’t aware. That was addressed while we were gone. Next came the elevators. 2 went down for the remainder of our stay. This was during the Boston marathon. The wait times were long. I know things happen. It was just disappointing. No one ever apologized, or anything. I had 2 reservations. I had reached out about using a discount I seen on the website. They replied I needed to inquire precious to stay. I explained I had another reservation. I have emailed several times. They say someone will get back w me. Still nothing. I won’t be back. I will try somewhere else. I expect more.
