Our family of three stayed here for four nights during spring break to sightsee and check out colleges for our teenage daughter. Being a very particular person with high standards, I was very pleased. The service was wonderful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is very central to everything. We found it very convenient to hop...

From the moment you arrive, a traveler is greeted by Richie (a 41 year legend at the Parker House) or one of the other doormen, you feel like you must be a princess or a duke. Everyone makes you feel special, As you walk through the gleaming brass revolving doors, you enter the magnificent lobby of wonderfully crafted hardwoods, crystal...

Imagine someone anticipating your arrival at a hotel and this "loyalty ambassador" Ms. Casey, emailing you to check on your plans. Well, that was lovely in itself - but imagine that upon your arrival that same person actually did care about your experience - and listened when you mentioned in your email reply that you were visiting with husband and...

No doubt this hotell must have been great in the 60`s and before that time. The Kennedy`s used to be among the guest. Huge hall, high seling, two pubs and restaurants. Friendly and proff service, both at the Concierge and at restaurants ( The Filet Mignon was great ).Very good breakfast thought a bit expensive. Rooms are quite small, bed...

The hotel decor needs a major renovation it looks like they painted over dust. The rooms were average looking, nothing special. We got what we paid for for a two double bed room I would say. However for such a prestigious hotel it was very outdated and average looking. The Hotel employees we're absolutely phenomenal however and I applaud them...

We come back every year. Very friendly and competent staff. Dickens first read "A Christmas Carol Here". Ho Chi Minh and Malcolm X each worked in the kitchen. Staff was gracious, friendly, competent and often humorous.

The Parker House is an older hotel and the room I stayed in was small. But thenroom was clean and well appointed and the hotel location is excellent. The staff were very helpful. I would stay there again.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
