My single room had a "twin" bed...can you imagine. Plus there was a visible iron board but no closet in the room. A sink was in the same room plus the bathroom had no door & was all part of the bedroom. The air conditioner was basically on top of the bed. tiny, cramped room

Our rooms with one twin bed are absolutely our smallest rooms, functional but small. They offer great value to someone who needs a place to sleep, clean bathroom, TV and breakfast. We are planning to commence renovation at the end of the year. Thank you for staying with us. David.

My son and I stayed in this hotel after coming from New York. In New York we stayed for 4 nights in a very expensive hotel which had no WiFi, bad service, no breakfast and a room which was pretty much like a shoe box. Due to the very low price of this hotel, I was not expecting much and...

Diaz, family - than your for your great observations and comments, we appreciate them all. Yes - an amazing location, yes - rooms are small, yes we have all the basics such as WiFi, Coffee and Breakfast! This is an old tired hotel that needs some serious work. Rooms were clean but age definitely showing. Breakfast area was cramped. I'm glad I didn't spend much time in the room/hotel as there's a lot more to discover in the area around the hotel. Lots of theatres within walking distance.

Thank you Fine and Dandy for pointing out that Boston has such amazing Theaters! We always think of New York and London as having a theatre district but so too does Boston, and we are right in the heart of it, with most of the theaters within three blocks. Yup - rooms are small, please sleep in our rooms, but...

Thank you for staying with us and your kind words. We truly do have an amazing location. The mixed reviews about breakfast are often from our valued international guests. We serve a complimentary American-style continental breakfast which is different that what one might find in Latin America or Europe. Again, thanks for the great comments about our team. David.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night (check-in Oct 15, 2016) and I paid $193.16 in CASH for my reservation. When I got home, I found they charged me the same amount again from my credit card. I called the hotel and they said that according to their records they had two reservations at my name for the same...

There was a legitimate mix up in reservations which was resolved, and credit was issued. Erika, the hotel General Manager, communicated directly with the guest yesterday, prior to being advised of this posting. Alex and I also chatted via email and everything was resolved. Trip Advisor does not allow me to post email addresses in responses, but please anytime there...

Hotel is in perfect location. theatre district. Walking distance to market, etc. Great area to access tours, only 3 minute walk to transportation building (City Place) . Rooms small, but it is mostly because it is an historical, older building, but was really clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Alice - thanks for your headline which says everything - "Location, price, clean and friendly". We know the rooms are small. We get a fair number of negative comments about breakfast, but we believe we offer a good array of options for a free continental breakfast. We do not claim to offer a hot breakfast or European deli breakfast. Your...

The hotel is in a great location for Boston Common and the Freedom Trail as well as the shopping districts and (whilst still expensive) was priced reasonable compared to other hotels of a similar location. We booked the Milner for three nights as it was the last hotel left in our price bracket, albeit at the upper end at $200 per night. The main thing that attracted us to the hotel was the location, which looked quite central. While we knew the rooms would be small, we were just looking for a base more than...

Adam, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We always appreciate learning from our guest's experiences, even if disappointing. As you discovered, Boston is an expensive city, and there are few options in the $200-300 range during peak season, (which goes through November.) We are planning a renovation which will start in December, and will be addressing your concerns...

Charlotte - Thanks for staying with us and for your review. I agree that the breakfast area is small, and as a small hotel we are "space challenged". We try to provide a limited complimentary continental breakfast, hence the disposable plates and cutlery. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
