Excellent and elegant hotel right at Boston Harbor, beautiful rooms, great restaurant with American-Bostonian food. The staff are very friendly, customer-oriented and attentive - in particular the Concierge service is excellent. The New England Aquarium and other attractions are within walking distance, very good location.
We stayed for 2 nights in a harbor view room - it was exceptional. From the moment of check in and throughout our stay - every person who works at the hotel gave above and beyond service. We were late in the game in securing dinner reservations for a Saturday nights in the North End - no problem - Nathan at the concierge desk made recommendations and then followed up with saying "we'll get you in" and they did. Maps and directions to the best donut place around (Kanes) were given with a smile. Get a harbor view room. The window in the room is almost floor to ceiling and there are 2 small windows that open up for fresh air and and the sound of seagulls - almost sounds like you are at the beach. The view of the harbor activity is mesmerizing as well as catching a glimpse of the occasional plane taking off in the distance. Lots of attention paid to detail in the room. I left my reading glasses on the nightstand and housekeeping left me a cleaning cloth with the hotel logo on it - a nice souvenir. A sturdy rubber cord organizer was left with our charging cords. Small items that show the hotel is paying attention. Awesome Diptyque bath products from Paris. The room had a Nespresso maker. Turndown service was back in play with slippers left bedside. The room had an Ipad loaded with magazines and newspapers along with dining suggestions and other hotel info. There is a lap pool and a good sized fitness center with plenty of equipment. We did not get a chance to dine but the harborside restaurant was busy. The bar which just reopened looked like a good place to have a drink especially as the temps get cooler. The hotel was spotless in all the public spaces. Be sure and check out the map collection with beautifully framed maps dating back to the 1700s. There were Adirondack chairs placed on the dock for outside seating. The hotel is in walking distance to the North End, Freedom Trail and Fanueil Hall - great location for walkers as the hotel sits between the Harborwalk and the Greenway walking path. I think this is my new favorite hotel in Boston!…
We had stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing time where they gave a souvenir soft toy to my daughters. The soft toy became their favorite for many years until my younger daughter lost it. The hotel, when called, offered and mailed a replacement because they care! We will return every time we are in Boston.
The Boston Harbor Hotel which envelopes the prime real estate of Rowes Wharf on one side and is open to the city on the other, combines elegance with a scenic and convenient location. It enhances it's historic waterfront with famous ancient Roman architecture with it's 80 foot-tall ornate outdoor archway and rotunda. The hotel is as stunning inside as it is outside thanks to marble arch, framed antique maps, collections of exotic flowers, rich fabrics, coffered ceilings. gorgeous hardwood and tasteful carpets scattered throughout. The property is positioned right on the waterfront (Rowes Wharf) and is only a short walk to many of Boston's well-known sights including Quincey Market, Freedom Trial as well as the New England Aquarium. It is steps away from both Harborwalk and the Rose Kennedy greenway, a scenic path through the heart of the city There are 22 one bedroom suites, 102 superior rooms, 4 large sized individual rooms and a monstrous John Adams Presidential Suite offered as the room inventory for the Boston Harbor. I was delighted with my superior accommodations and spacious layout. The suite employed a liberal mix of burgundy, navy blue and soft yellow along side polished wood furniture with antique lines. Heavy fabrics like tasseled drapes rendered the room a tad heavy. The bed was plush and comfortable with seperate sleeping and sit-in quarters and portrayed the benefit of an entertaining water view, A custom made desk provided ample room as work space and the chamber was accompanied by high-tech appliances. The bathroom flowed with marble, and was outfitted with a rainforest shower and a deep soaking tub. The Rowes Wharf Sea Grill, the excellent on-site restaurant, is delicious and beautiful with an awesome outdoor terrace overlooking the water. It offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with an outdoor dining option on the wharf in season.Of course, seafood dominates the menu with entrees like Maine lobster, steamed mussels, diver mussels and a bunch of other things that come from the sea. The clubby Rowes Wharf Bar provides a social setting for an after-dinner drink where one can order a variety of inventive cocktails, light bites and bar friendly entrees. The Rowes Wharf Health club & Spa is the Hotel's wellness complex and consists of a full service health club and spa/salon. At the heart of this facility sits a 60 foot heated saltwater lao pool. The fitness area has an excellent selection of modern cardio-and -strength- training-equipment. Fitness studios provide classes for yoga and other exercise endeavours. The adjacent full service spa offers a raft of standard treatments including: massages, facials, scrubs, couples routines and salon offerings including waxing, exfoliation, and pedicure/manicures. So if you are in a huff for accommodations which offer a memorable experience with 1st class service. top-dining and a spa to escape from stress.............then try the ............ This was our second time at the BHH , the first was in 2020 in the middle of Covid while we were relocating to the West Coast. A lot can be said about the customer service when a hotel has to deal with an unexpected and unhappy customer and in this case, the mistake was largely mine. The first time we stayed here, we had a Harbor View Premier room. This time, I booked a Harbor King Deluxe. The descriptions on the site could be a bit more clearer but it was entirely my mistake for not remembering what I booked the first time and booking a lower category, Regardless, on checking in , I found the room unsatisfactory and called the front desk. It was a refreshing change when the front desk called me back 5 mins later and gave me two alternate rooms , both better than my current room. They even gave me a tour of both rooms and were very helpful in moving us. The craziest thing is that they did not charge us extra and that tells you how classy they are and how well they treat their guests. The pool did not need reservations unlike 2020 but it was still not busy and we loved spending time in the evenings there. The gym has a lot of equipment and very well maintained. I used it twice during the stay. The food at the restaurants was really good. Our room had great harbor views and beds were very comfortable. Evening turndown service was offered. All in all, it was as fantastic as we remembered it the first time. In the current times, when a lot of hotels have gone downhill and shamelessly so ( please see my review of Intercontinental Boston) , it is a refreshing change to have hotels like Boston Harbor Hotel where there is pride in service and guests are treated well and provided a classy experience. Would definitely stay here again.…
We always love staying at The Boston Harbor Hotel. Great staff; excellent rooms with harbor views, or city views; and we love the Boston Wine Festival that it hosts every year. A great dinner with chef David Daniels. Rowe’s Wharf Bar is elegant for drinks; old clubby and snappy at the same time; great bartenders.
I stayed there for 2 night to attend my brothers wedding. This place was beyond amazing. The staff was nothing short of outstanding. The food in the Sea grill was without a doubt the BEST. The rooms were clean, comfortable the view was tremendous and the housecleaning,I say Thank you. There was NO faults about this hotel. They took care of every detail to make my stay a memorable one. There is the BEST of Boston.
They were understaffed and not prepared for the evening festivities. I will definitely never come back here . We had many other choices and we made a mistake choosing this terrible venue . Do not stay here ever . Tuxedo on a pile of feces and it is still feces . We are leaving now and never to return . Very expensive for very little value .
Unbelievable stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel . We took two days in town Boston to recharge and welcome 2022. The staff has has been EXCEPTIONAL! Friendly, responsive, thoughtful and kind. The rooms were lovely, well appointed and comfortable. Tons of hot water, the bar was great and the parking was convenient.
This is a wonderful hotel. Small, intimate with a great vibe. And, it is 100% open. What do I mean? Well, during Covid, hotels are sneaking around us to remove many amenities: turn down service; shoe shines; mini bar; newspapers; even pens & paper to write a note. At the Boston Harbor Hotel, all these amenities were fully here. Very refreshing. Their location is in the Waterfron neighborhood. Very upscale with shops, boutiques and restaurants. Close by is the metro & train station to head into other parts on Boston. It is also one of the quietest hotels I’ve been in. The rooms and bathrooms are very large. The best part, a wonderful staff:. You’re all at the top of your game. Well done, we will see you again!
