We chose the Chandler Inn Hotel because of its location. It was a delightful surprise to experience the contemporary room, great front desk staff, and quiet locale. The main attractions of Boston were walkable distances; the restaurant row of Tremont Street was down the block; and a main metro station a block away. The small, efficient bathroom could use a...

A friend of mine and I stayed at the Chandler Inn during the weekend of the Belgian Beer Fest. We had decided to stay at the Chandler because it was the closest hotel to the Boston Center of the Arts, the T station, and also the most affordable on a student's budget. We reserved a room with two twin beds,...

Perfectly satisfactory little hotel. About a 10 minute walk from the train/subway station and shopping areas. Staff were competent and nice. Room was pleasant, about the size I expected, and quiet. Great location and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks. Kenia Carvalho from São Paulo, Brazil.

Our room was crisp and clean. Modern furnishings, flat screen tv, very comfortable. The bathroom, albeit brand New, is quite small...not an issue for us but may be an issue if a visitor is accustomed to spacious hotel bathrooms. Staff was welcoming and gracious. Walking distance to Tremont and great restaurants. Plenty of offsite parking. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel's location is excellent: very close to a lot of restaurants in the back bay area, a walking distance to the bay promenade, shops, down town, close to metro. The staff is friendly. The things that I did not like: very small room, if you open a window there is constant background noise either from construction or the highway...

The Chandler Inn is located just two blocks south and east of Back Bay Station, very convenient to Back Bay, to downtown and to the Orange and Green lines. The neighborhood is very nice and very quiet, mostly old townhouses. The rates are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly. If you're not planning to spend a lot of time...

The Chandler Inn is a very good option for leisure trips to Boston. The design and cleanliness of the rooms is great, and the location is wonderfully quiet, but still very close to the action. The hotel and the parking options are definitely not cheap - but as this is true for all Boston hotels and as parking is expensive...

We spent a week here in August 2012. This hotel is on a quiet street right across the highway from downtown Boston. If you like to walk, you can be on Newbury St in about 7 minutes and at eating or grabbing a drink on Tremont St in about 3 minutes. The only downside is that the hotel does not...

We stayed here for a weekend in August and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were polite and helpful and free coffee is available in the lobby at all times. The rooms, as other reviewers have mentioned, are somewhat small but we did not find this to be a problem at all. Ours was...

Yes, the rooms and bathrooms are small—but more than big enough. I found the rooms well appointed, very clean and perfect for a business stay. I stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff can't be beat...they went out of their way to help me with my needs that had nothing to do with the room. If you...

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
