We rented a studio apartment it was a first class experience. We got to stay in a beautiful Brownstone building that felt like a home away from home. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped with enough crockery and facilities to prepare your own meals. We had access to lovely balcony and there was also an amazing roof terrace with...

After reading such mixed reviews we were worried but decided to book anyway due to location and cost. Yes the hallway is dark, steep, and the carpet is a bit grubby. Yes there is no elevator or front desk, but we knew this and were prepared for this. Apartment 4 was very clean and nice and the kitchen was well...

I have never had occasion to negatively review a place whilest staying at it, till now. The WIFI is worse that that in countries of Southeast Asia like Myanmar. Last read till it stopped being able to be tested, 0.16 Mbps. This is leaving us unable to work. The reason we're in Boston. Though it's June1, at 42 F outside...

Just awful! I booked this on Expedia, believing it to be a "hotel", as described on the website. It is not a hotel. It is an unstaffed apartment building, with filthy carpeting, piles of dead leaves and dustballs in the entryway (there is no lobby), shabby aging fixtures, and no amenities. There was no mention that my room would be...

We stayed here from the 29th dec to 3rd jan. Having stayed previously in 2013 we were a bit disappointed with a few things. The sofa bed is broken so we had to get a blow up bed from the inn at st boldolph and discovered late that night that there were no extra blankets just a sheet and due...

My partner and I stayed here for a week at the end of October. The location was perfect - close to Back Bay Station, The Prudential mall and many good bars it was also walking distance to Boston Common. The whole experience was easy and enjoyable. The apartments are private and accessible by a code which was emailed to us...

I've stayed here twice now. I actually really like that this place has no front desk (or any person) on site. It was nice to feel like I actually lived in the South End in my own apartment. Entry codes sent with email confirmation. I put codes in a note on my phone just in case. It's walkable to the...

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 3 nights in October and were extremely disappointed with the accommodation. The entrance is dark and the carpet smelt, the stairs are steep and narrow making it difficult to manage the suitcases up 3 flights of stairs . The flat badly needed an upgrade, walls and soft furnishings were dirty and marked...

The room itself was nice: spacious with a full kitchen and reasonably clean. However, too many things were wrong with the room. To begin with, there was no thermostat so the room was hot and stuffy with no way to change it. The mattress was covered in plastic so you stuck to it all night long. The clockradio was broken....

This is my second time staying at the Boston Christopher. Rather than a hotel this is a furnished apartment for rent with its own kitchen. I've stayed at the Grand Studio and a one bedroom and both had good standard and are a good value compared to a hotel. The living room in the one bedroom was big and comfortable....

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
