Room is good, very clean. Bed is comfortable. View quite ok, not as good as expected but still quite nice. Often see the used room service utensils in front of the doors, even in the elevator. Location is very good, walking distance to subway, restaurants and malls.

Always a great place to be. Wonderful rooms in a great city and on the water. Situated across from a beautiful park with the transportation system just two blocks away. Historic Boston practically across the street.

The hotel staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms were very clean. The hotel itself is in a nice area. It's close to the train and water taxi. It's easy to get to/from the airport.

We stayed in a 6th floor corner suite with a spectacular view of Boston. The amenities in the guest rooms are top-notch, right down to the chocolates on the pillow every evening. The hotel's location is great for a run along the harbour and for walking to to see the sites. We sampled a number of rums from the hotel's...

What a great town to visit for any occasion esp staying at the InterContinental. The service was spectacular especially the Concierge. What a superb group they have- they gave us great recommendations and never steered us wrong! An added note- definitely go to them for making Dinner reservations. They can get you in places that have a wait immediately!

First off, I have no complaints about this hotel -- everything is top-notch. That said, I took a couple of things out of the minibar so I could put something of mine in instead -- only to find out that they have these robo-fridges that helpfully record all withdrawals so they can helpfully charge you ten bucks for a half-size...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

“There was no refrigerator in our room. We could of used one for drinks and desserts we could not eat at dinner, but brought back to the room for a late night snack. That is just how we travel, if you usually don't need a refrigerator, then it's perfect for you. It was a fantastic room even without the fridge.”
