I booked this just for a night as a staycation for my family since we live locally. It was much more upscale and luxurious than I had expected! The bed was super comfortable I had the best sleep in months. We could not hear ANY noise from neighbors or anyone in the hallway.. The customer service was amazing. Harold at check in was so sweet, and the waiter at breakfast Christian was also so sweet and friendly. We felt well take care of here and will definitely be returning.
Perfect location close to the Seaport, on the Fort Point Channel, and a cross the street from the Greenway Hotel has spa, pool, exercise room, bar, and restaurant Valet parking Very friendly and knowledgeable staff Great for all occasions and children We were welcomed to the hotel by a very warm and friendly doorman, Jose We had outstanding service from Humberto, the bell team member, always willing to accommodate Wonderful experience with John Fagone at the front desk Also met the Manage for food and beverage in the bar but didn’t get his name. We a great conversation about the hotel with him Overall a very enjoyable weekend We are returning in July 2022
We stayed here with a family trip with our baby / toddler / one year old, and the hotel could not have been more perfect. Spacious rooms - we got a 1 BR suite, but we also saw a standard room which would have had plenty of space for a crib. Staff was accommodating and got a refrigerator placed in the room. The hallways and lobby are nice and large, and the hotel it perfectly situated for the childrens museum, martins park, the seaport district, the aquarium, duck tours, and more. An excellent choice especially with the little one.
The room was spacious and clean, very close to restaurants and attractions. Only complaint was vacant livery vehicles made valet parking unpleasant. Overall a pleasant experience. I would stay here again.
My husband and I (both Diamond Elite) stayed 2 nights at the hotel. It was a return trip and we were excited to be back. From the snooty check in, to the refusal to honour the complimentary breakfast for our IHG status, our stay went from bad to worse. The duty manager spoke to my husband to try and address our issues and we were informed, that as we had had to go out and buy breakfast, we would be reimbursed in the form of IHG points. We are still waiting on these. I have contacted the hotel on several occasions to chase this and no one has had the decency to respond.
My wife and I stayed here the first weekend of June and we could not ask for a better experience. The receptionist Maxx was kind, warm and accommodating and made us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and unique. The bar and restaurant on site were phenomenal, and the gym, spa, and pool were top-notch. It was a really nice respite away from our three kids and toward the end of a challenging school year (we are both teachers). The location is ideal (walking distance to the Seaport, Faneuil Hall, Boston Public Market, and North End), and there is affordable street parking nearby. Needless to say, we will be back!
The Boston Intercontinental is simply a wonderful hotel and it's the staff that really made our stay special. Maxx at the front desk was so kind and welcoming. We had such a nice chat with her and after hearing that we were there for a couple's weekend, she went out of her way to help us make the most of every minute of our stay. We cannot say enough good things about the hotel and especially about the excellent staff, like Maxx. Thank you!
I like to stay at Intercontinental hotels when I travel globally for my sports business. The Boston Intercontinental is a nice hotel in a good location . A bit strange that you cannot get lunch at the hotel and perhaps the finance department could consider customer experience , rather than always the ,’bottom line’. However rooms are nice and the atmosphere in the hotel is very comfortable. However what makes the Intercontinental Boston stand out to me is the welcome I got checking in. The front desk staff are outstanding and Francesca could not have been more helpful organising my room. Incredibly , which seems to be becoming more unusual with staff shortages etc. , the welcome every time I passed the front desk was fantastic , with nothing too much trouble . It really has restored my faith in how important good staff is to any vacation or business trip. On the way out of the front of the hotel you pass by the front desk and every time I passed Maxx would enquire as to whether she could help . Old fashioned hospitality that is a credit to the Intercontinental Hotel Boston and the Director of Front Office , the charming John Fagone. I would recommend this hotel and certainly in Maxx they have a lady who truly understands the hotel business. She is an absolute gem .…
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. I work in hospitality myself so I typically have super high standards when traveling but this property really impressed me. The building itself is beautiful, the location is great but the staff and cleanliness are what the wow factors are here. As soon as I checked-in the Front Desk staff were friendly, polite and even recommended us coming back with the kids (and things at the hotel for them to do). The room was bigger than I expected and very clean - not to mention QUIET. We stayed during graduation weekend which is very busy but I never heard another guest near our room. 10/10 would recommend; you will not be disappointed!
The hotel is quite nice, with a good central location and amenities. The hotel has one big design flaw. There are too few elevators. There are only 4 elevators when there should be 6 (or even 8). This means that: 1) the elevators were always very crowded (like a subway during rush hour) 2) there was always a long wait for an elevator 3) every elevator ride was slow as it would stop on at least 4-5 floors, sometimes more So if you are willing to endure painful elevator rides, this is a decent hotel.
