Over all it was a very pleasant stay for us. The location is very good. Very clean rooms. Staff were very nice.My only complaint would be, Viga Italian Eatery was like a cafeteria rather than a cafe or restaurant. It would be nice to have a nicer place to hang out and the bed was a bit small.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately I did not realize that they do not have room service availability for food in this hotel. I also heard a random banging noise every so often from my room which woke me up and was unexpected. I'd like to think it was something random that would not impact all rooms in...

Centrally located and close to public transport. Small room - only just enough space for two double beds, no space for chairs or table. Guest lounge with coffee machine was available. Doesn't do breakfast, but there is an excellent cafe across the road (Flour).

Great hotel, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Prime location making it easy to access Boston! The room was comfortable, clean and warm (which was good because it was freezing outside) Would highly recommend the Hotel 140!

The hotel is very near from to Subway station And principal malls. The room was always clean, but small for two beds. They have places where you can eat, warm your food and spend time out of tour room.

We have stayed here previously. Great location near Copley Square and subway. Rooms are basic, but fairly large and comfortable. Staff are helpful and efficient - we could not travel home as planned because of a winter storm -- it was no problem at all to extend our stay at the rates booked.

Stayed one night for business, and found the room and experience perfectly fit the bill for a solo business traveler. Free wifi and coffee. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Will definitely stay again when I need to stay in the Back Bay.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
