I haven’t stayed overnight in Boston in a very long time so when looking for a hotel recently we came across The Boxer. Picked it because of the location. 5 minute walk TD Garden to catch a Celtics game and 12 minute walk to the North End. As if the location wasn’t good enough, the place is very clean and accommodating. Arrived an hour before check in and they immediately checked us in. Complimentary hot apple cider and flavored water in lobby. Nice touch! Room and decor was an industrial modern feel but very cosy. Very friendly staff too. All around a great stay! Will only stay here when in Boston.
I was displaced from my home and being in a hotel room for 3 weeks is daunting, but Noah made me feel like I was coming home every time he saw me. He was very professional, friendly, caring and would go above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible. He was my first impression of the hotel, and a smart move on management's part.
We stayed here for 2 nights for my partners birthday, it was definitely one of the most reasonably priced hotels in Boston with nice decor. Places like Quincy market were a 10 minute walk. Staff were really welcoming and there was a complimentary hot chocolate bar the day we arrived (Friday). We tried the breakfast one of the mornings which was quite nice (however didn’t quite live up to the price). Overall a really great stay and would come back!
Service was great, as was room service and bar. Dog friendly (we took our puppy with us). Location is great; quick walk to Beacon Hill. All of the staff were nice and friendly. Food and bar was also nice. Rooms on the smaller size as an FYI!
The Boxer is a unique and very comfortable hotel for a quick getaway or business travel. A quick walk from many major attractions in Boston makes this a location we will stay again. The rooms are clean and updated, and the attached bar/restaurant is fantastic.
Front desk is very nice and helpful. They gave me a list of many restaurants close by (lots within walking distance) I travel for business and fit the needs I have when traveling. Bulfinch Bar was nice, (quiet after holiday) I will try and come back when I’m in the area.
We loved this hotel, we stopped here twice for a night either side of a road trip and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has an old fashioned charm and quirkyness that we love, it is in a very convenient central location for what we needed to do whilst in Boston which made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms we had were perfect for our short stay, and the staff were very helpful.
Got bruins tickets and booked this room as a anniversary present for my husband. It was a two minute walk to the garden, the room was great, nice and clean and the king bed was incredibly comfortable. Had a great breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Would definitely stay there again.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I continue to be impressed with it. First, it's conveniently located just a few blocks from TD Garden and all the activity that surrounds North Station. An added plus is that, despite being so close, the fact that the rooms all face away from the bustle of the area, there wasn't any noise pollution from the street. I also found the rooms to be quite soundproof so I wasn't disturbed by televisions or talking from other guests. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist. You do have to request housekeeping at the front desk each day you need it, but, on my short 3-night stays, the room has been equipped with enough towels and supplies that I have not needed to ask. It helps that the hotel is immaculately clean at the start. The onsite restaurant is quite good, though the surrounding area also offers plenty of options within short walking distance. Access to the subway is just a short few blocks away as well. I've stayed at similar hotels in Boston, but the combination of location, price and service is hard to match, so I will be back again and again.…
We have to travel to Boston multiple times for medical treatment and staying at The Boxer means that we have a comfortable, well-appointed hotel with courteous and kind staff to look forward to. While the rooms may be small it does not detract from the comfort of the overall stay. Mattresses are good, WiFi is reliable and easily available, there is complimentary bottled water upon arrival and even complimentary hot cider in the Lobby. :)
