The Lowes Boston is well located and quite comfortable. Like most reputable hotels in large cities, the total cost of a stay can be substantial, but Lowes Boston gives decent value. The lobby is small, but guest rooms are large enough.

Great hotel and excelente location in Back Bay! Staff is very friendly and the bar and restaurant very good! Only downside rooms a bit small, but giving it's a historic building it's ok! Room sizes won't stop me from booking again!

This was a fantastic place to stay. I went with three of my girlfriends and I have to say I have no complaints. We loved the Precinct downstairs. They had great food and bartenders. Great place! They even had towel warmers in the bathroom. I don't know if I loved that or the beds more!

Wonderful location on the very heart of Boston. Just 2 blocks from Copley and Prudential and 4 blocks from beautiful Newbury Street, it still has the charm of offering its own nice restaurant and some nice others close around. Very nice, kind and supportive staff. Easily reachable elevators, which are fast and safe, as you have to put room key...

I stayed at this hotel because I got a great rate and coudn't have been more pleased! From the front desk who had a room for us within an hour of a 9:30 a.m. arrival and directed us to a great, local breakfast place down the road (Billy's) to the very cheerful guy who took our bags up, to the...

I stayed at Loews for 4 days very recently and thoroughly enjoyed my first ever trip to Boston. The location is excellent, super-easy to get around, the hotel has a lively bar that is well-stocked and bartenders who offer great service. A big plus point for me was the room size, I was genuinely pleased(for USA city standards), it was...

Great location just off Copley Square and not as expensive as the other big names on the Square. Nice big TV in rooms, heated towel rails and room lights are bright. Wi-Fi is terrific and doesn't cut out or need reconnecting like many hotels. But the best thing is the Lounge area on the ground floor with a large multi-screen...

Having stayed at a number of Boston hotels in the past, this was my first stay at the Loews. I would certainly recommend and would happily stay again. Rooms are well appointed, with decent sized bathrooms which can be unusual for city centre hotels. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast choice was good, the continental breakfast was fine...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort.
