Don't even bother looking at any other hotel Loews has it all! Great staff, lovely rooms and perfect location. Once you stay here you will compare this experience to all future hotel stays regardless of the city. Our room was immaculate. Every person we came in contact with asked how our stay was going. We have been here so many...

We went to Boston for a weekend, booking at the last minute. Loews was terrific. They helped us get the adjoining rooms we needed. The people were friendly and helpful. And, the rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. A few particular highlights: 1) Ellen at the concierge desk helped us with dinner reservations and was super helpful. 2) The reservations...

I stayed here for more than a week for a business trip. The room was right-sized, with all the things you'll need - king sized bed, 42"inch (?) Flat TV, flat iron, safety box, hot shower, etc. There's even a mini theater at the lobby area with free-flowing coffee/tea and working station. This was perfect for watching the Pats' historic...

The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Close to shops and restaurants in a lovely downtown area. We loved having the small refrigerator and coffeemaker, as well as, the automatic lighting in bathroom was also appreciated!

Great hotel, parking was a little difficult to find at first but the valet service was great despite being a little expensive. Concierge service was excellent and informative. The hotel is right in the middle of so many things to do and sights to see. We will definitely be back here in the warmer months to explore more of the...

The Loews Boston is one of those hôtels that is medium in size, old-fashion cozy comfort, very pleasant staff, good value and in a great location. Reserved three nights but had to cancel last night due to incoming snow storm and was NOT charged which was very appreciated.

The Loews Boston Hotel is a great, upscale place to stay while visiting a great city! The rooms were well equipped. I especially loved the towel warmer in the bathroom since we were there in early February. The downstairs bar is a destination for a happy hour drink. Breakfast was delicious. And, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We...

Greetings 211jennifermm and thank you very much for your post! Anytime anyone recognizes Precinct Kitchen + Bar, we get very excited as we feel as though it is truly a dining destination and not your typical hotel restaurant. So thank you very much for noting your experience. More importantly, we are thrilled to have earned your loyalty and recommendation. We...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
