Great location near the Garden and north end. Staff very helpful. Only drawback is the restaurant/bar is very small. We would definitely stay here when we come back to boston to visit our son. We enjoyed being so close to the north end and all the great restaurants there.,

Very clean and modern property, newly updated in unique Kimpton style. Cheerful and helpful staff. A "cobblestone's throw" from many Boston highlights including TD Garden is quite true. Great restaurants in the North End are easy walking distance. Boston airport is a short 10-15 minute cab ride. Rooms are smaller European style. Sign up for the free Kimpton rewards membership...

Even though this was pretty far from BU where my son is, it was an easy ride on the T green line. Lots of perks if you belong to the Kimpton rewards program. Near the Garden arena. Love the clean rooms, decor, and attentive service.

Thank you for all the nice comments Shannon W! I completely agree that our location is perfect for anywhere you would want to go in the city, as well as the train station is very accessible near by. We love our Kimpton In Touch program, so I am glad that you are a member and were able to take advantage...

Okay the rooms are small. I laughed when I saw the complementary yoga mat, 'cause I have no idea where that would spread out on the floor. Never mind. The bed is comfy, the room is spotless clean and it is very quiet on the inside room. I have made 5 small requests during my stay and each was cheerfully...

Thank you for the 5 stars and for recommending us. We are in fact a small boutique hotel, but I promise, our hearts are in the right place. We will definitely do whatever it takes to make each and every guest feel comfortable and at home! Best, Michal Penek

Very comfortable beds and pillows, very helpful pleasant staff, conveniently located for the Northside and the Garden. North Station metro stop is just a few blocks away. The immediate neighborhood is not very pleasant, but Boston is pedestrian friendly and everything is close.

Again I have to preface by saving I am a picky business traveller whose is especially particular about hotels. That being say I was up visiting my daughter at BU and it was a VERY busy weekend in Boston; Head of the Charles, Sox game, BU v Wisconsin hockey. Most of the city was sold out so I anticipated crowds...

This is a reasonable hotel offering good value for money. The room was well-equipped and nicely furnished. It is within easy walking distance of much of Boston - it took us about 20 minutes to walk to Boston Common, and the restaurants of Hanover Street are easily walkable. The metro station is just around the corner. The only real issue...

Hi Bobotheviking, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was happy to read that you enjoyed our location, I agree its a great place to be! I am so very sorry about the noise from the street. We don't typically receive complaints regarding outside noise, and yes, even though its out of our control - I wish there...

We stayed at the Onyx-Kimpton for 3 nights. On arrival, I was a little disappointed with the lobby because it was very small and somewhat dark. We were promptly greeted by the desk staff, however, and efficiently checked-in. Having read other reviews about the hotel, and knowing that we were very close to TD Gardens where a Bruins game was...

Thank you for the great review sonata23! I am glad that our location and services were to your liking. I completely agree with you that our shower pressure is a disappointment. Because our guests have been telling us how much of an issue this is, we are currently in the process of replacing all our shower heads with new ones...

The Onyx is a hidden jewel within easy walking distance to many of Boston's favorite sites. The room was spacious and beautiful. I have never met more accommodating and helpful staff. Being pet friendly is an added plus.

One night stay in Boston, needed a hotel close to airport. Usually stay at the Marlowe in Cambridge, but gave the Onyx a try. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Penthouse floor. Large room and bath. Overall a good experience.
