This is a club that also takes bed and breakfast visitors. The building is very grand and full of character, but a little faded and creaky here and there. We stayed twice during our last trip to the USA, and each time had a huge, high-ceilinged double room with its own en-suite bathroom. The decor is tasteful, if occasionally in...

This is a great B&B right on the edge of the Public Garden in the Back Bay. It's a block from the Arlington T stop - which means that all of Boston is within walking distance. The double rooms are very spacious and furnished very well, but no TV in your room. The breakfast is great.

What a real find. A beautiful old house in a lovely central Boston location beside the peoples' garden and Boston common and the quality shopping area of Boylston Street. The room was very big and the bed was King size and comfortable. Overall a beautiful place to stay and we will certainly go back there!

This hotel was more than adequate for me and the staff were very attentive and helpful I must say. I left early so did not have time to take Bfast but by all accounts it looked okay. The shared bathrooms were fine and in fact never saw or heard anyone else. My only moan would be the noise as the...

If you really do not want to be disturbed then wedge chair against door, I had do not disturb sign on my door but still they came in. The temporary aircon unit was in when I visited which meant that every sound from the street was audible as the flimsy bits of plastic on either side of the unit were...

I was looking for a good clean place to sleep for the one night I had in Boston. I wasnt looking for frills or a lot of extra's and the college club provided more than expected. The room was small and there was no tv and I did share a bathroom. However i was only in the room to sleep,...

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very familiar ambiance and personal service in combination with a perfect location. I stayed in a lovely, large room with a fire place, armchairs and overall great interior design. However, if you want 24h full hotel service and/or a TV in your room, you should stay somewhere else. Good breakfast was included and free...

Fabulous place to stay. The manager, Donald, bent over backwards to help us out with accommodation at short notice. He also had fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities and was so helpful. The rooms were beautiful - especially the double, although the singles were a little more crowded and less picturesque. Overall great accommodation

Found the place on this website and soooooo glad I did. It was very low key, the staff was super nice and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The rooms were large and very nice. Like others said, no tv, but we didn't miss it. Great location as well. Oh and GREAT price.

I accidentally found this place, and I was so glad that I did! It is a lovely bed and breakfast in a fabulous Victorian townhouse. I was in a single room and shared bath, but it was really no big deal. I never saw the other person, so there was no waiting for the bathroom to become free. The continental...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
