As an extremely loyal Marriott customer, I was disappointed with the rooms in this hotel, most specifically the mattresses. We had the worst two nights sleep we’ve ever had in a Marriott property. I think that these mattresses must be over 10 years old. The decor is extremely dated and the rooms feel old. The only reason I didn’t rate this lower is the location which is really convenient. Given that the price per night averages over $400 right now, we feel for the first time that Marriott is taking advantage of the consumer here. This hotel absolutely needs updating. The staff was nice and the breakfast was up to Marriott standards but the rooms were well below the standard that we have come to expect with Marriott.
Lisa, Loudmilda, Dottie and Luis made our stay exceptional. The breakfast offered nice choices and the eating area is very nice for breakfast and for other times of day. Rooms are great for a family or couple.
Located right by the US Constitution and on the Freedom Trail. Ask for a suite with a view of the harbor. There are good choices for dining nearby eg Warren Street Tavern & the Monument. Check out the parking next door via spot hero and save a bunch.
The owners of this property certainly have “prime real-estate”. Walking Distance from the “Garden” arena in Boston, situated right on the beautiful Constitution Marina and Paul Revere Park. The wonderful North End of Boston and all it offers, is an easy walk from this hotel. ( don’t drive, it’s not worth the hassle ). The USS Constitution ship/museum is also right next to hotel. On to the Hotel it self… Parking: don’t pay the $50 per day valet, just park in the parking lot next door (overlooks marina), just be mindful that some of the spaces are restricted … It is a flat daily rate of $32. Lobby area is small, but gets the job done. The first floor has Plenty of seating in the lounge area, this doubles as the area Breakfast is served in the morning. Breakfast: I personally enjoy a good cup of coffee, fresh fruit & hot oatmeal with plenty of options for condiments. Thankfully That was readily available for breakfast. If you are more into crispy bacon, fantastic eggs, awesome omelets, etc …. well That was really disappointing! …. Seriously they need to improve the hot food selection because it was not good. Building/Property: Looks to be kept well and clean, carpets are still fresh looking, so as the furniture. Nice patio area with great views of Boston/Marina. Room: This is a review of room 202, can’t speak to the rest of The hotel, but I have to be honest: it was not a bad room, just That it wasn’t a great room either. If you search my reviews, I have no problem giving praises, But once the price per night goes north of $500 one needs to be honest & I become more picky about value for the $$ spent. Room was clean: floors were clean, bed & furniture were clean. The bathroom was large and spacious. Very Clean, with plenty of water pressure and hot water. But someone decided to put wallpaper in the bathroom & it was pealing away at the seems. I know, not that big of a deal, but if they remove the old wallpaper & just paint the walls the same exact color = would make it “feel” much nicer. Also, there was no extraction fan in bathroom, that too takes away from the niceness of the place rather quickly. Bedroom was great, nice bed, nice mattress, nice furniture with a big closet. Hair dryer provided along with luggage rack. Living area, while a bit cramped was fine, decent couch & TV. Kitchen area, while not bad, just didn’t look the part, as in: It was what I expect in a second kitchen in the basement of a private home, not an expensive hotel in middle of Boston. OK, so in summary; Would I stay here again, Yes But I would try to get as much of a discount as possible on the rate because they can do better – hopefully they will.…
I really liked the hotel and overall they were great! The only issue I had was a personal one which was it’s near a busy road with sirens that bothered me at night. But all the staff was polite and helpful. Definitely will stay there again on next trip.
Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Very CLEAN excellent location within walking distance of many historical things to explore within the city. Breakfast was quick, with a variety of options to choose. Thanks
Room preatty confortable, kitchenette too small, breakfast adequate (even if I experienced better variety and richness of food in the past), some employees at the concierge/reception not very friendly; no sales discount on parking (too high!!!) for long stay; I supposed to stay there for 24 days, but I left earlier for this reason
We had two rooms, 4 kids aged 6-14 and four adults. We were extremely happy with the service and attitude of all employees...from desk clerks to housekeepers, to the morning cook at breakfast. We asked for and received a number of items during the 4 day stay. Very friendly staff at all times and all levels.
5 star because for its class of hotel it's excellent. Rooms are immaculate. Staff really cared. Staff masked and very responsive. Great location to get around and easy access to airport. Nice breakfast (would like more fruit) . Outlets on both sides of the bed.
We checked into a room this weekend and were very pleased with the service we received. The gentleman at the front desk, Marvin was so kind. We asked him in the morning to change our sheets while housekeeping was busy and he changed them with no hesitation and asked any other ways he could be of service to us. He made himself very available which has been uncommon since the pandemic and it was very refreshing to have that kind of care. Thank you!
