We were last here 9 years ago and reread my previous review. The one thing that both reviews had in common was the poor food. This time we had dinner one night and it was not good at all. The price for a glass of house wine was $10. My guess is that the bottle cost the hotel $4 or so. so the markup is ridiculous. A Johnnie Walker on the rocks was $13. 2 glasses of wine, one Johnny Walker, a salad and wings and fries was $75. Now, the positive is that the staff were all very friendly. The location is convenient to the airport and we walked to the car rental center in about 5 minutes. Room furnishings are comfortable and the room was very clean. We would stay here again, but we will pass on eating here.
Recently stayed at the Embassy Boston Airport . The hotel and room were very clean. Hot breakfast included and there is a large lobby area for seating. It would have been nice to have bottled water offered in the morning. All hotel employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Some rooms with [distant] city view. The hotel provided 24 hr shuttle service to/from BOS airport. If driving there is limited parking, additional charges, at the hotel. I believe the parking is valet only. We hired a car prior to visiting Boston and dropped it at the Boston Airport car rental facility. From the car rental facility it’s a short, maybe 5-Minute walk to the hotel. Very easy, just around the corner. It would be equally easy to rent a car for a day trip from the hotel. The metro is a safe, short walk across a public park, 5-minutes. This is the Airport Station (Blue Line) and is two stops to downtown Aquarium Station, three stops to State Street station, so it was very easy getting into the city. Cost each way $2.40 unless you have a student or senior card. At the Airport Station, the metro rep was handing out free loadable metro cards. Once preloaded we could travel without purchasing a ticket each time. Very easy to connect, without additional charges, to other line to get to other parts of the city. There is not a lot of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but we walked about 20 minutes to find good cafe style restaurants and a couple of groceries. Most in the vicinity of Maverick Station. Although this hotel is removed from downtown, it is much more affordable with quick city access. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Boston.…
Great location for the airport with a free shuttle that runs regularly. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and gave a complimentary late check out as we had a late flight. Breakfast was good (hot and cold, omelette station, waffle station), but as with the rest of the places we’ve stayed in America, a RIDICULOUS amount of single use plastic! Polystyrene cups for coffee, plastic cups for cold drinks. A great hotel but they do have a corporate responsibility to cut down on waste.
- Bring back alcohol at the Reception Drinks/Snack Hour - Have options for breakfast that are COVID friendly (sealed/handled only by gloved and masked employees) - Offer self-parking or waive valet fee
Place is nice. They have a pool, breakfast, a smal gym, and are located near the airport. I was traveling for biz & this checked all the boxes. The breakfast was good too and Tyson was the man. Overall positive experience, sometimes breakfast is busy, for example: they had a TSA conference here so it was busy in the morning on Friday (today).
