I booked this spot because it was cheap and extremely convenient to downtown Allston, Mass (a neighborhood in the town of Boston) and a venue, "Great Scot", where some friends, the band GREY SEASON" were having a CD Release show/party. My son was flying in from Houston and I was driving north from Long Island. When I told my son...

So first thing that anyone should realise is that this place is cheap for a reason. Is it modern? No (the carpets and overall decor is extremely dates). Is it a bit creepy? Yes (there's blood red walls, an organ and locked doors in your room that seemingly lead nowhere) - The Shining analogies aren't wrong). HOWEVER....are the staff friendly?...

I wasn't expecting luxury but the decor of this place looks like it hasn't been re decorated since when it was first built. The room felt dusty and the carpet looked like it hadn't been replaced in years. On the other hand, the bathroom wasn't too bad, the wifi wasn't bad and it was easy to get to Harvard and...

This place has great location and great price. But you get what you pay for. It is definitely not clean, but in my experience of one night I would not say this it was filthy. Its more of a hostel than a hotel. Anything nicer than this in the location it has would be two or three times the price....

This reminded me of a college boarding house. I expected this going in, and it was a good place to crash for the night when I was in Boston. The staff was friendly. It was a short walk to the train to take downtown.

Horrid bedroom, thin pillows, dirty, and the most foulest ,mouldiest ,revolting shared bathroom i think we have EVER come across. And to think we paid more for this room than any other accomodation per night than any American or Canadian accomodation on our whole trip! I still have nightmares thinking about this place and how ripped off we were. Boston...

I stayed at this place in August 2015 due to a last minute booking when everything else was booked out with no availability. I was put in a tiny little room in the loft of the monstrous old derelict looking house down the street from the listed property #23 Farrington. Honestly the house looks and feels haunted. My room was...

The phone and lobby staff were friendly and helpful. That was the best part. The entry hall was dingy and was badly in need of being vacuumed. The "single with private bath" was relatively large with a kitchenette and sitting room separate from the bed-room. But there were so many little things that could have been done to make the...

Odd. Called in to make a same-day reservation. When we arrived we were sent over to another building where the apartment was, not in the building advertised, #23 Farrington. At first, apartment seemed large and accommodating, perhaps a bit simple, but with full kitchen and good for the price - special deal at $140 (regular price $250). However, within minutes...
