I have stayed at the Charlesmark Hotel several times and it's my favorite for the Boston area. Since I travel 200+ days a year for business and pleasure, I'm very selective about hotels. I discovered the Charlesmark Hotel because it's located one block away from...More
We had stayed at the Charlesmark before so when returning to Boston we had no hesitation in staying there again. Our room was perfect and a lot more spacious than the one we had stayed in previously. The breakfast was more than substancial, along with...More
During our road trip through New England Boston was one of our highlight stops. Trying to figure out to stay was a much harder decision. The prices seemed very high to me as well as the parking to go with it. After much research we...More
What a great little find. Located on one of the premier Boston streets in the Back Bay neighborhood, the Charlesmark is situated right in the heart of all the action. There is a downstairs bar, which can be noisy on a weekend evening, but the...More
I've stayed at the Charlesmark several times and have always had enjoyable experiences. The location is ideal - you are walking distance from several things and there is a T stop 1 block away. The customer service here on our most recent trip totally blew...More

Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice
weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

What's so "premium" about it? I got a room on an upper level with a window facing a brick wall. It was quiet, but even facing the brick wall, there was limited light. It was one of their least expensive rooms, maybe because it was so small....but it was still pretty quiet.

We stayed there last October. Took the Back Bay Logan Express which is bus transport and operated by the city from the airport to Copley Square which is where the hotel is located. Great, inexpensive way to get to the hotel; only $5 per person. The subway system is great to get around town but to get to the cruise port, we took a cab. Not very expensive. You would have to take the subway and bus to get to the port from the hotel. Great little boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. We got to the hotel before check in time and they took our luggage so we could go sight seeing and it was in our room when we returned.
