Overall, this place was a great hotel to stay in. My girlfriends and I stayed here on a Saturday night as a girls getaway. The rooms were very clean and spacious, which was perfect for 4 women. The beds were very comfortable and the layout was nicer than a lot of other hotels.

There is a DJ that plays on Saturday nights that I wish we had considered when we were given our room on the 4th floor...it was very loud for us until the DJ stopped around 2am...and then the noise was replaced by people yelling in the streets leaving the hotel and other surrounding bars. I was woken up a few times by all of the noise. In retrospect, we should have requested a room that was much higher and maybe not city-side, because we heard everything and it wasn't an extremely restful night sleep.

The hotel does offer breakfast in the morning, which was OK. The jazz brunch was a nice touch, but there weren't too many options on the menu and it was relatively pricey. I would recommend checking out another brunch spot in the area.

Overall, a great hotel and atmosphere, just a few recommendations if you are hoping to get some rest!

Myself and 4 friends were travelling together to Boston with bicycles - that means lots of hefty luggage. We arrived early from our redeye flight and the first person to greet us was doorman/bellman Diego. He promptly helped us with storing our bikes and bags until the room was ready (which was ready at 10AM!) Diego seemingly never went home as he was there through the evening and again in the morning to help us depart as well - great asset to the hotel!

Aside from the great central location and easy walkability, the people at this hotel are clearly happy to be there and their positivity extends to the guest experience.

Special shout out to the Valet Team who took great care of our truck and were always there to lend a hand with the little things. The manager, Yeiker, and his team (I had to get their names - Jose, Youssef, Joe, Sea, Zachary, and Eli) are world class!

Also special recognition is due for front desk agent Amanda, overnight front desk supervisor who's name I failed to get, and the housekeeping staff on the floors who were always gracious and helpful with small requests.

Having visited other W Hotels in the past, I think Boston is the best of them! Can't wait to return.

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed here- this time for our 13 year anniversary. Had the most fantastic stay. I'm picky when it comes to room cleanliness and this place is off the charts clean. I didn't see one speck of dust and I swear it looked like the remote was cleaned with a q tip. Incredible! I love the Poe decor, modern with a touch of mysteriousness. The room was also the perfect size, super comfortable with lots of seating space. The staff was unreal- so nice to us. Friendly from the minute we pulled up to the valet station. When Amanda at the front desk learned that it was our anniversary she brought us up a couple of cupcakes with a handwritten note. Just the sweetest. Its the personal touches that make such a difference. She's a real gem. My only complaint is that I couldn't move in. Lol. Such an incredible experience, we can't wait to go back.

My wife and I just stayed here for two nights the day after Christmas and we had a great time. The Hotel is centrally located in Boston right in the Theater district. We walked to Seaport, a Celtics Game at the Boston Garden, dining in the North End, Quincy Market, Boston Commons, Time Out Market in the Fenway area, and Copley Square. We also attended a Musical at the Emerson Theater (2 blocks from the hotel) and the Boch Wang Center is right across the street. We were upgraded to one of their "Spectacular King" rooms and it was very nice. We were on the 12 floor and there were no noise issues even though we were in the center of the city. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel is stylish and spotless. The staff is also outstanding. As a Marriott Bonvoy member the hotel provided my wife and I with a wonderful breakfast in the Hotel Restaurant (The Galley). There is also a nice lounge in the lobby area that was hopping with a live DJ when we returned from the theater. We would definitely stay here again for another couple of nights in Boston. We didn't use the fitness center but we went inside and it looked excellent. Parking at the hotel is expensive so we used SpotHero to find a local garage with a lower rate. I've stayed in about a dozen other hotels in Boston and this is by far my best experience.

We booked into the W Boston at the last minute for 2 nights mid-week. We had an excellent stay. The hotel is well situated close to Boston Common, and within walking distance to great restaurants in Back Bay. It's also just a 15-20 minute walk to pretty much anywhere in the downtown core.

We splurged a bit and booked a Cool Corner King room - it was a uniquely shaped room with two walls of window that meet at a sharp corner. All that glass provided for a great view of the surrounding area. The room was quite large, and the shape of it kept the bed quite far from the door which makes it feel all the more private and keeps any hallway noise at bay. The bathroom was large and modern. The building itself is maybe getting a bit old and it shows here and there, but not as though major renos are needed.

Staff we encountered were efficient and professional. We had a car with us in Boston and while the valet was efficient, it's not for the faint of heart at $68 a night. It became clear to us the couple of times we were driving in the city that there is quite a severe shortage of parking for a city its size. Any more than 2 nights and I would've ditched the car before check in.

The one drawback I will point out is the amount of street noise that comes through the windows. I live in Toronto and am used to the noise of a big city, but I had to use earplugs here. It seemed like the windows didn't block any street noise at all, and with the location being so close to Tufts Hospital, there were sirens constantly. Perhaps try and get a room higher up, I was on 7 and it was pretty loud.

Overall, a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Stayed at this W with a few friends for a New Year's Eve getaway, and I was thoroughly impressed at the caliber of service and attentiveness on display. Staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful throughout our stay, with many going out of their way to assist us with questions or concerns. Parking is easy with accessible garages close by if you're like me and typically don't valet. Staying here puts you in walking distance of so many interesting parts of the city, including Back Bay, Boston Common, and the North End. Great location!

The hotel itself is as quirky and luxurious as you'd expect from the W brand. Attention to detail is obvious throughout, right down to the "good morning/afternoon/evening" rugs in the elevators getting changed out as the day progresses. Rooms are spacious and similarly luxurious - the clean and modern bathrooms are a highlight, though I could have done with more counter space and fewer for-sale liquor bottles and snacks set up. There are more affordable options around town, but all things considered, you get a lot of stay for the money. Highly recommended!

While things like check-in, bag hold, room setup , and room cleanliness were certainly spot on, the experience that triggered this this review was something that often is medicore at most hotels - a simple breakfast. Traveling more than 130 nights last year, I can't tell you how many times I start my day wondering why someone can't accommodate a simple request in a restaurant.

Kevin (our server) was excellent and made sure to clearly communicate my wife's and my requests to the team cooking our meal.

The team executed PERFECTLY! I particularly appreciated that the food was not greasey or soggy and still had awesome flavor. Out of season fruit came out much better than expected for this time of year too.

I will be staying here again for sure!

Lobby is tight and was very crowded/noisy when we checked in. Staff seemed prepared for it though with long lines at check in.

Location is decent, about 2 blocks from Boston common and less than 1 block from multiple theaters.

Great curbside service from the folks working the front door.

Bathrooms, towels and toiletries were great as I'd expect at a W.

Restaurant was solid. We got a free breakfast for being titanium and we were able to pick anything from the menu and it was covered for $25/person.

The W Boston was stop 2 out of 4 on our summer road trip, and I couldn’t have imagined a more welcoming, comfortable and accommodating stay in a perfect Downtown Boston location. In fact, our experience was so exceptional, we actually stayed an extra day! It was very rainy when we pulled up to check in and park (we booked a parking package), but that didn’t stop the very helpful valet employees from helping us with our luggage and doing their best to keep everybody dry. There was a glitch with the parking package as our vehicle would not fit in the hotel’s parking garage with the luggage carrier on top. Everyone we talked to went out the way to try to successfully find a parking solution, and Amanda Francis was exceptional as she quickly problem-solved a solution. All parts of the hotel were super clean and every employee was helpful, kind and courteous, but what stands out to me the most is the manner in which everyone truly seemed to want to provide guests with an outstanding stay. I feel very fortunate that Amanda was manning the front desk for most of our stay. Amanda not only solved our parking problem, but she also provided valuable resources during our stay, e.g., great ideas for seeing the City, ideas to also tour Salem, and she even quickly produced a Tide pen for the stain on the teenager’s favorite t-shirt. Boston was an amazing city to visit, and we will definitely return, but mainly because we want to experience the W Boston again!

I love the location of this hotel it’s very central in Boston walking distance to many attractions. I’m a bonvoy platinum member and I love the credit for breakfast you can choose to have it from room service!
Had a little issue checking in they put me in a lower category than what I paid for and when I got to the room I realized it then I spoke to the front desk manager after we already moved and she said don’t worry will move you to the new room . But what if I Didn’t realize it?? They need to train the front desk staff!
I didn’t use there parking garage because it was a rip off $60 plus tax a night when you can just download SpotHero and book much cheaper there . I parked at the ritz Carlton for 3 nights it was $54 !
One of the nights that we stayed unfortunately there was an incident with somebody pulled the fire alarm and woke the whole hotel up at 2 AM.
Loved my suite I was on the 14th floor
And it had an amazing view! The housekeeping staff is absolutely amazing they go above and beyond during your stay!

"In order to use our site and services, you must be 18 years or older. This means you cannot create an account to travel or host unless you are at least 18 years old. It's up to each Airbnb host to determine if infants or children are allowed at the listing during the reservation.“ This is likely due to the fact that someone under 18 cannot legally enter into a contract. So if I have an Airbnb and knowingly rent it to someone under 18 and they trash the place I would have very little recourse as the contract is not valid. Technically they could allow it with an adults authorization, but they likely just don't want to deal with it.
