Located on a quiet street, Guilded Lily is comfortable and well-appointed. Our host was gracious and helpful with information about the area. Walking distance to Back Bay Station, T stop, MFA and Gardner museum as well as Copley Square and Newbury Street. Also near great restaurants in South End. Room was very comfortable; en suite bathroom with all the mod-cons....

Stayed one night at Christmas time, beautifully appointed room, quiet, elegant townhouse in excellent South End location! Owner is gracious but unintrusive, continental breakfast (in-room) is very nice. Very good value on top of all that!

I surprised my husband with a getaway in Boston and we stayed at The Gilded Lily. The rooms are very well appointed and clean. Self-service check-in is also very convenient. Given that the bed-and-breakfast does not have a complete, sit-down breakfast, I was hoping for a little bit more in terms of selection. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay!

This B&B looks like a well-kept old Boston home with steep steps up to the door from the street. It is right by the orange subway line, within walking distance of the New England Conservatory and across the street from a great Thai restaurant and a pizza place. My room on the second floor was well decorated, clean and very...

The Gilded Lily was a treat the minute you arrived. It's located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Every detail to make your stay comfortable and pleasant was taken care of. Our room was clean, and I mean clean, had 12' ceilings, an old marble fireplace and a very comfortable bed with all cotton bedding. You have 24hr access...

Very comfortable and spacious room designed to make you feel at home away from home. Just about the cleanest accommodations I've ever seen as well. Located in a very nice neighborhood in very short walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants of various price levels. About a $10 cab ride or nice long walk to most attractions or business...

The Gilded Lily is a home away from home: quietly elegant, pristine clean, located away from the noisy hub of major Boston attractions, yet within short walk to most of them. Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
